Get a bicycle!

Sure I'm biased, but whats better than a fun activity that the whole family can do while getting healthier, see the outdoors, and also support business. Bikes dont have to cost a ton (good bikes can be from $200-$700) and you can get them at a couple of fairly close shops. We have Cumberland Cycles here in town, but I really like H & H bikes in the Amish area between Nancy and Liberty off of HWY 910. Earl's the guy in charge, and has been very fair and great to deal with.

Get a bike, and improve your life!

Bought my 10 y.o. his first good bike this year. 24 speed Fuji Mt. bike. Got tured of watching him struggle to keep up and decided he was committed enough for a good bike. Now I'm struggling.
He's wanting to do kayaks.

I've done kayaking before and it's fun, just get to know the right time when the water is up enough or you'll end up porting a ton on some of these shallow creeks.

H & H is also a Fuji dealer, so he has the bikes as well as a very good stock of parts on hand.

We bought ours at Cumberland Cycles. Broke the chain on my trek trying to keep up on the second day.
I have a carbon fiber sea kayak. We're looking at strip building one for him.

You get on,.......
Put feet on pedals,
and fall over!

But we had fun,(was the name of a song)

Then you peddled your legs off,

(on a single speed bicycle),

to give your butt a free ride.
