Adanta has really went down hill over the past year. The employees are not appreciated at all. It's kinda like Obama's platform. Change. However, 90% of the change is really bad. The morale is at an all time low, a lot of employees are getting out as fast as they can....If they can retire, they are...If not they're finding different jobs as quickly as they can. The new administration has only one thing in mind and that is keeping their pockets lined while stripping the average employee of all their pride and respect. If you are not a friend, then forget having a happy or rewarding job at Adanta.
This will filter into the communities in which Adanta serve and their clients will drop off as rapidly as the employees.
You cannot treat people this way and not expect repercussions.
Under the right leadership, Adanta could do amazing things, but under the current incompetent administration, you may as well forget it. Maybe they will wake up to themselves before it's to late to rectify. However, I sincerely doubt it since they seem to have "the God Complex." In this I mean, they thing they are all knowing beings who can do no wrong. Boy, do they need to take an introspective look at themselves.
They are not God, or anything that comes close and they need to do a little bit of reading in their bibles and learn the golden rule of treating others like you like to be treated.
Power Trips are not good things. They are not good for the company or the people.
There are talks of "teamwork", but funny that there are only 5 or 6 people on the team, and none of them are too bright on the matters that pertain to running a successful business.

I know one whos been there over five years and doesn't even make 30 thou....and now they're talking about pay cuts, furloughs, and layoffs if the finances don't improve. What does the direct line staff have to do with the finances? If the clients won't come, what are they supposed to do? And if you lay those people off or furlough them, won't that make the finances worse since there won't be staff to see the clients. That new CEO is crazy.

I also meant to say that the CEO seems to be more concened about appearances (painting walls, paving parking lots, buying cars, buying buildings, and on and on) than patient care or employee moral. If you have happy employees, they will be productive, provide better patient care, patients will want to come there, and finances will improve. It's just basic management skills. If you beat down your employees, you don't get better work. What are these people thinking????? and BTW....I am NOT an Adanta Employee.

You need to get the details before you speak. They have more than one psychiatrist at this time and several Nurse Practitioners. You need to check on those "minor details".
No, you need to get the details BUB ! The counselors have 15 to 20 people a day, they are over worked and under paid. Why do you think they can't keep counselors ? Nurse practitioners are not licensed to counsel people. The whole place is about money. Try calling for an appointment and see how long it takes to get one.

let me set a couple people straight on this subject. actually nurse practitioners are licensed & educated to counsel patients as well as prescribe medication. the therapist at adanta do not have 20 patients scheduled per day - more like 10. they do a wonderful job but don't receive much pay. most master level therapist are making between 30-35K per year. those on call for triage, jail or miws do reeive some compensation for their on call time & travel. and currently there are 3 psychiatrists, 1 fulltime medical director & 2 part time docs & 4 nurse practitioners to provide services in the 10 counties surrounding the lake cumberland area served by adanta. adanta is a non-profit organization but it has to make enough money to pay the employees, benefits, retirement etc as well as maintain all the physical facilities. the docs & nurses see apporx 30 patients a day, not uncommon. it certainly isn't perfect, lots of dissent among the staff, and the management is very dicatatorial, however no worse than many other organiztions of this size.

Now they are furloughing employees at least 20 days spread out over a period of time. Doesn't Adanta need those people to work in order to bill for services? Looks like this would just put them in a deeper hole financially.

Any reason why though? Please, be honest, I've applied to so many places and I need a job pretty badly. Do they promise hours/pay and then cut them? is it a hostile work environment? I can deal with all types of personalities, I can even deal with unappreciative bosses. I just need examples so I can form an opinion.

More than 75 percent of Adanta employees got written reprimands for poor performance last week. It's a fact....not the poor performance because the staff have no control over income, but fact they got reprimanded for not meeting production numbers.....like it's a factory or something.

Well, I don't know where my last comment went. But while I'm here, does anybody else notice that everytime you go to Adanta, you have to see a new therapist? And that you will get refused to be seen if you owe any money and can't pay?
