I know alot of the workers there and they put in way over 40 hours each week so please keep in mind that the hard working of Adanta don't get to make the decisions they only suffer from them good or bad. I know a couple of them are on call ALOT and most of them don't go a night or weekend with out being called out or called right in the middle of trying to spend family time and they have to get up and go report to work. I'm just asking to keep in minde they are just trying to make a living like me and you.

Maybe one should focus on the good that takes place at Adanta and not the minor details of how that agency runs. They have alot of good employees that really care about their clients and this community.

Adanta is the worse it gets, plain and simple, it is all about the money, feel sorry for those that work there and those that try to get help there.

You need to get the details before you speak. They have more than one psychiatrist at this time and several Nurse Practitioners. You need to check on those "minor details".

To each their own. I feel that they help alot of people and never got the impression they are about the money. Good employees trying to help those in need.

i know some employess that work for adanta and i just don't mean in somerset. They do the best they can. They don't get paid as well as other agencies, and according to a friend the mileage the case workers recieve barely covers the gas, let alone wear and tear, oil changes, etc, etc. it seems to me the CEO and the others in charge treat this place like they like they are making money, so that means employees get crapped on. When Adanta is actually a non-profit organization. The main bosses need to realize and understand that everything is a chain reaction, if they can't take care of thier employees, then this could cause the employees to question "whats the point?" and slack in taking care of thier clients. To sum it up, if there is low morale among employees, then that means it could trickle down to clients.

We are a non-profit organization who feeds on the low income mentally disturbed and mentally retarded. Our CEO obviously has no new ideas and really doesn't give s&*$. We have chased all of the other accredited mental organizations out of the Lake cumberland area because we could. We will not ever allow you to file a grievance because our Ombudsman is in bed with our CEO. If you are a rich mentally disturbed person we welcome you. Perhaps when your done paying for the treatment that you have received here at Adanta, we will fix you up with UK hospital for treatment of your failed suicide attempt, because we know you'll try it. We only have a limited amount of licensed therapists because we fired all the competant ones. So if your looking for a quick fix for DUI school your better off moving out of state and dealing with Arkansas's DUI law. Hell even crossbread shrinks are better than us on all mental issues. Our CEO is currently at cocktail lunch with her crack head hunsband who apparantly knows someone high up so we don't get investigated because the s&i@ we get away with is far more criminal than any woman CEO could get away with. So here at ADANTA we would rather call this the MISLEAD statement but as a non-profit organization who only makes profit we will just call it our Mission Statement. Hell we truly have no idea what were doing. Just see a shrink if you have a problem with it.

Adanta has a well deserved bad reputation. The turn over rate there is crazy but unfortunately they are the only Community Health Center that is not Impact Plus that takes Medical cards. They hire Bachelor therapists right out of college most of the time that have no business doing therapy..trust me. People go there to pay the bills and get experience and then move on...the pay is crap unless your in the Business Office! It is no secret they will always have problems in management. Thankfully though, they do have some therapists that care and are great but that is the exception not the majority :(

never again!!! The school suggested i take my son there for "anger management". While in the doctors office we got to sit wide eyed while the doctor cussed out an insurance company over an accident he had had. No lessons learned from him that day...lmao unless it was my son didnt need anger management

I have a lot of issues mainly self esteem. I am by myself mostly with 3 small children. I know that i need to talk to someone and I do have insurance. I also have had problems with addiction. I know that other issues lead to my use and I really would like to find someone to talk to as soon as possible. I went to adanta to check it out, but are there other options?

Dear "Trying to find help", I have four children of my own, just graduated from college last year and was looking for a job with Adanta when I came across your reply by complete accident. I know that God has led me to help others and I would be glad to help you. I have a bachelors degree in human services, and am well trained in the area of counseling, etc. and I am very familiar with addictions, causes and cures. I have done extensive research in these areas, mostly on my own time, but truthfully God has led me to think outside the box. Most secular, mainstream counselors will go by "the books" on such matters, but it goes deeper than what they touch on. It is a physical as well as a spiritual issue. You need deliverance and inner healing. Just seek God---the God of the Holy Bible. He will draw you close to Jesus Christ (our savior, deliverer, healer and creator) Then the Holy Spirit will be your guide and counselor. No secular counselor can do for you what the all seeing, all knowing, Almighty God of heaven and earth can do. But you don't have to take my word for it---read His word. Start in Genesis Ch. 1 skip the rest for now and go to the 4 gospels of Jesus Christ. This will show you were your problem began and where it will end. May God Bless you. I will be praying for you.

What are you going to do for the people who believe differently than you? Will you shove your God down their throat?People need help, spiritual perhaps, but the way you just phrased this I would be scared to death to send anyone to you....There is a new mental health clinic in Somerset....Light House consulting...location, by Sub/Way by the mall. The psychologist is great...works with children and adults...doe not push religion down you throat.

My God? The God of heaven and earth is everyones God whether they choose to believe it or not. Sadly, most of Gods people serve other gods---money, themselves, and other manmade religions and idols. In fact, it seems that modern day "psychiatry" is becoming some peoples god. Suggesting that someone choose a psychiatrist over their Maker is an abomination.
Fortunately, you don't have to make an appointment with God and He doesn't have to be "shoved down peoples throat" as you say---He just has to be proclaimed in a world full of darkness where people aren't getting the help and light that they need from secular, mainstream "counselors".
Your comments dear friend are another reason God has to be proclaimed. People need to know that there's another way besides "your way". God gives us a choice, He made us free agents. We can choose light or we can choose darkness in our lives. People have to know they have a choice.

This is not appropriate to do for client's or future client's. Hopefully you are not employeed with Adanta for the very thing you are doing breaks your ethical codes as someone in the helping profession. One thing you should have been trained on is the fact that you do not push, suggest, or comment on religious beliefs unless you are a Christian counselor. Research your obligations as a professional more and then possible client's won't tear you to pieces on here. Not everyone shares our faith or beliefs, they need us but not the religious beliefs we may carry with us, that is not helpful to those that don't believe or believe differently.
