Grand Central is 435 plus 99 deposit for the flat apt water included. The ones that have an upstairs are 445 but I dont think water is included in those because they have washer and dryer hook up.

U got that right! I have been calling around trying to find a reasonably priced, but nice place to live and they are scarce! People in Somerset do not make the kind of money to pay outrageous prices for rent! I guess that's why just about everyone is having to live paycheck to paycheck or even less when they run out of money before their next check!

Does anyone know anything about Sycamore Square Apartments? rent, washer and dryer hookup, sizes?

Maybe someone can reccomend nice but reasonably priced townhouses. That's what we are looking for! A house would be better, but the cheapest I have found is $500 a month. We really can't go over $400.

I lived at Grand Central for 10 years and they say that now they are on HUD but they have done this before and they change back and fourth from HUD to Market rate.
When I lived there I payed 385.00 but I ran the pool. I loved it there and would go back. With the washer and dryer hookup you pay ALL utilities no freebies

ok, I am sure I will be bashed for this but I find the rent around here reasonable. I paid less renting then I do now that I bought a house. It is the same amount od square feet, older then the rental and $150 more monthly. Plus all the expenses to go alone with it. All in all about $250 more monthly if nothing breaks. I couldnt rent this place out for anywhere near what I have to pay monthly. Plus I would have the risk of people destroying my property.

Oh goodness, don't rent at Grand Central, there are way to many places to rent around here for you to have to live in that mess and pay that much rent! Take a drive out in the country......sometimes you can find some reasonable places to rent that are much cleaner and have a much better quality of people or you may find a house so you wouldn't have people right on top of you!! I am not saying that everyone there are "bad quality" but the ones that are really give that place a bad name!

Go down Monticello Street down toward the college, there is apartments all along that strip of road, some are as low as 295.00 plus utilites. There is also apartments on the same road as Grand Central such as Pine Tree Apartments.
Go thru the phonebook and start calling

There is Duplex's on Slate Branch Rd and Ferry Road as well. One to mind is Trails End.

behind the new theater is also new apartments and duplexes for rent.

Call Realtors and ask what properties they have as well as call the banks and ask what houses they have.

There is still a onebedroom on Beecher Street and a few apartments as well on Lookout Streets. You will have to look for the contact numbers on the signs, not sure myself who owns the rental units.

Go down Maple Street and College Streets down by Somerset High School there is a few rental signs as well. And a few down by the downtown Post Office.

Check with Cundiff Apartments in town.

This is just a few I have seen while doing business around town. Hope this helps.
