Did they open this position for all qualified applicants, or did the buddy system come in play?

Best man for the job at this time - That's not saying there's other qualified coaches out there - There may be the best coach in the world out there , but Stephens wass the only logical one to pull this program togeether and show those kids some respect and work as a team -

They difinitely need some experience on that staff. None of the coaches up there have any.. He needs to brings in a Def, and off Coordinators because he has nobody capable for that position.

Oh yeah, super hiring decision there, no doubt.

In all fairness, though, the Warriors were very young this season. Next year, they could win a few more games.

10 losing seasons at Casey County is his record. Worst possible pick for SW. Lots of better coaching available. Politics and corruption in its full glory.

It is not recruiting that is needed. It is better coaching that will make the difference.

i wouldnt be suprised if they didnt field a team, i dont blame those kids for not playing if all those fools they call coaches are still around

Given the "procedures" under which the current head coach was hired, those who signed off on the decision deserve every loss they suffer through while he's there.

Hate it for the kids, though.

Good luck in the playoffs, local teams!

That would be a blessing for Southwestern. I think Coach Engle and his Staff should have had a shot a the program first. They have several State Middle School championships to their credit and they know our Kids well. But anyone with creditability is better than Stephens and his staff.

Wrong Kia. 10 year losing streak says he cannot run a program, even at a Casey County level. Insiders know that he was a poor pick.
