Amen!1st Peter: Chapter 5
6: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7: Casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you.
8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
9: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
10:But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
11: To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
FRANKFORT, Ky. - The state would create rules for teaching about the Bible in public high schools under a bill filed Monday by three Democratic senators.

We do not condemn Homos...
That's God's job!
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the
world, but that the world through him may be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him, is not condemned: but he that
believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not
believed in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the
world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because
their deeds were evil.

I don't believe it is the governments job or resposibility to teach my children about God
As a parent,I don't believe I should tell my children that God exists..
It is my responsibility to TEACH them about God,the reasons for my belief in God,my faith in God based on my personal experiences, not on the opinions or views of others
I also vehemently oppose the suggestion that the government has any justification in indoctrinating schoolchildren into ANY specific theologies, including Evolution.
So,if you teach one,you need teach the other or teach neither.

Blessed are those that Have not seen, and still believe...
God saved me... I KNOW He is real... Wishing you did too!

1) I didn't miss the point whatsoever, you just want to ignore the reality of it. Religion isn't needed to be good. If it isn't necessary for good deeds and knowing right and wrong, then what is its purpose. Some humans are flawed - but not all.
If you believe some humans are flawed ( sinful behaviour),but ,not all and that you are among those not flawed, then, there is no reason to continue this conversation.....If you would point out some of these non flawed individuals. In other words, you are saying that there are those among us,who have never done anything wrong or need be ashamed off...
2) Not everyone lies, steals, and cheats because they can get away with it. And they don't need religion to keep them from doing it.
Stealing, lying and cheating are just a few of our many flaws, which you seem to want to brush off as minor imperfections, especially, when applied to yourself, but which you might find as disgusting when applied to others
.28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.
29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know Godís righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
3)I never said being good got one their celestial carrot, but "not being good" definitely gets it taken away. You can proclaim "belief in Jesus" all day long, but your bible states you are known by your works and are to be accountable for your actions. They won't get you into heaven, but they CERTAINLY can get you refused entry. Thus, you have to do good in order to get in - whether you want to admit it or not.
I want to point out to you where your erroneous interpretation of Scriptures has led you to a wrong conclusion.
One can claim to believe in Jesus, that claim means nothing in and of itself . You will be able to prove your claim by your works..Your obedience to his teachings.
As Jesus said
"Not everyone who calls out to me,'Lord! Lord!' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter
Either you did not read far enough,or,you failed to understand what you read
given the parable of the talents, simply "hiding your talents" is deemed as just as bad as wasting them on bad acts.
Keep in mind that a parable is a fictitious story meant to convey a Spiritual meaning.
How did you arrive at that meaning? " Hiding your talents is just as bad as wasting them on bad acts"
I agree,we know right from wrong, the problem is that, even when we know that we are committing a sinful,or wrongful act, many times,we go ahead and do it anyway.Just think, how many things have you done in your life, that you will not admit to anyone.?..and why would you not admit them?
2. Christians either believe because they want a prize or fear the fire - both of which are self-serving.
Why do I not rob a bank? Rape someone? and so on. for the selfish reason that I don't wanna go to jail

And I've found His logic is way above mine, and everything
He speaks is pure truth!
God Bless :-)

<quoted text>I agree. I think it is evil to condemn homosexuality.
What Christian person is condemming the homosexual...I don't condemn the homosexual, I condemn the act itself as I don't condemn the murderer, but the act of murder,as I don't condemn the abuser but the act of abuse. These are all sins that can be forgiven in the eyes of the Lord, we as Christians love the sinner but hate the sin.

Why do YOU?
Why do YOU?
Why do YOU?
I am quite able to do what is right.
Why aren't YOU?
I don't have flaws.
Why do YOU?
The reason you don't is simple. You are lazy.
It is easier to lie, cheat or steal, then beg for "forgiveness" than to actually to do the right thing in the first place.
Religion gives you a scapegoat. And, boy, do you use it.
Grow up and become a responsible adult.
It is worth the effort.

Tend to go,as you stated,is an opinion,not a fact.
Science has totally failed to explain how unliving matter was able to convert itself into living matter. That seems to be a fact.
Science is unable to show how unintelligent matter was able to evolve into intelligent matter, other than, some unexplainable event that may have taken place or billions of years ago
Here is an explanation given by
Professor Seth Grant, of the University of Edinburgh
The researchers suggest that a simple invertebrate animal living in the sea 500 million years ago experienced a 'genetic accident', which resulted in extra copies of these genes being made
"If the universe is non-intelligent, as in it does not contain any intelligence whatsoever, then how can the universe itself account for intelligent beings? If intelligence does not exist at some point, then it can never exist. Intelligence cannot come into being. If you say it can, the burden is on you to prove how. How can mindless matter possibly produce creatures with minds, with brains, with intelligence? No amount of time, natural selection, and chance can create intelligence out of nothing."
So it would seem that the foundation of your argument is not factual,is not based on any logical or probable deductions we can draw from it,other than, over a period of billions of years some how ,some way life was created from an unliving source and intelligence was created from an unintelligent source.
At least that is what I understand.....
Fossils,on which you place so much credibility,in no way shape or form, provide any evidence as to how life came into being or the origins of intelligence....
Therefore,if the foundation of your argument hinges on some probabilities that may or may not have occured, that were never observed, that can not be tested, how can any reasonable conclusions be drawn from that foundation

The religious are the only ones who regard the theory of evolution as a theology. Whether that is because it is viewed as a threat to Abrahamic Creationism, because it is rhetoric that is prevalent among certain religious circles and spokesmen or because some religious minded deign not to distinguish the difference between science and divinity has been debated numerous times in this thread and elsewhere. Common regard of it does not come anywhere close to matching any observance or definition of theology, religion or faith.

No goal posts, just tell me what you think since you think I'm wrong.
