Dry Forces have been rumored to be going to the nursing homes to have the elderly cast absentee ballots. Disgusting right!

No doubt, they do that in every wet/dry election statewide. Somerset will be no different.

Threaten old, dying folks with hellfire and brimstone if they don't vote absentee dry. Pathetic and sad.

It shows the depths PROHIBITIONISTS will sink in order to retain their control.

Are you able to put some names with "The DRY FORCE" and how many people are in the "DRY FORCE" so they can be verified as Pulaski County/Somerset Registered Voters. Or did some one start this rumor to be passed on?

Somerset and Pulaski County has existed on Rumors and Propaganda for ages, and most will believe any thing they hear as gospel truth. Most could care less about anything as long as their Boat isn't being rocked.

Sorry, no one is lying to 18 year olds in order to get them to vote.

When you tell an Alzheimer's patient that they're going to Hell if they don't vote dry, that's lying. Telling anyone they're going to Hell for not voting dry or telling anyone that they're doing God's will by voting dry is lying.

Seems the dry crowd is awfully good at lying.

You know, the dry force, those teetotaling Baptists that keep referring to that "liquor crowd".

Pot, meet kettle.

I don't drink, but isn't 21 the legal age in Kentucky to drink? A parent is no longer responsible for the action of an 18 year old in most cases, such as when you get a divorce and a minor child is in school and goes to college up to 25 years, or health reasons.

Yes, you must be 21 in order to drink, unless you're in the military and on base.

The age to vote in Kentucky is 18, on all things.

ALERT. Please protect your loved ones in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or in other care facilities. Just as in other cities, people are now going to our Somerset facilities to sign up absentee voters to vote NO in the upcoming Progress election. They even announce that they are from church and are coming to visit. Please, please protect your family members as the "Dry" forces prey on the weakest amoung us. I think this is deplorable. This is from Progress Somerset Facebook page

They did the very samething back in the 80's when we had the wet/dry vote, then it was led by the Pastor Elrod Taylor, they not only had them sign absentee ballots, they registered those that were not registered and even sent vans and private vehichles to the nursing homes to transport them to the polling booths. AFTER THE ELECTION, THE DRY FORCES FORGOT ALL ABOUT THEM, AND THEY WERE LEFT TO DIE!!! CHRISTIANITY AT ITS BEST IN PULASKI cOUNTY.....Pathetic!!!

People do this in every election. I know of one former Somerset City Councilor (that is running again
) that has always visited the nursing homes.
Anything for a vote!

Everyone that supports the city going wet needs to call all their like minded friends that live in the city and make sure they vote. The dry supporters will be lined up waiting to vote no. And they will have a big turn out. If the wet supporters do not show up then it doesn't have a chance. I believe most of the out spoken dry supporters do not even live in the city. Most(not all but most)of the people I talk to are going to vote wet. I have only had two people tell me to my face that they are going to vote no.

No, they're not being paid by Richmond and the bootleggers. They are on their own or are being paid by churches.

If you do not believe they are working the nursing homes then you need to ask someone that works at one of them.

Yeah, Richmond don't care anymore. After Manchester voted wet they realized they had lost Southern Kentucky sales.

That's why you see all these Richmond outfits applying for licenses over in Corbin.
