Is anyone else getting excited about TJ Maxx? It's one of my favorite stores I shop at the one in Richmond all the time. I've heard they'll be hiring about 30-40 people and will be opening in late April or early May. Anyone else heard anything?

I can't wait! You'd be surprised at the ppl that don't know what it is. Same for Hobby Lobby. Talked to an attorney's wife that had never heard of it. Hilarious!

I'm so excited as well!! I did a ton of my Christmas shopping at the one in Richmond. I found my son a Calvin Klein jacket there for $15! Unbelievable!

Theyre supposed to start hiring next month from what I've heard. They've already hired all the management staff. I think the store manager is coming from Burke's Outlet and the assistant store manager is coming from Walgreens (all just rumors)

TJ Maxx is my absolute favorite store. Truly a one of a kind store. Somerset is VERY lucky to be getting one. I typically only see them in bigger cities. Truly a huge win for our community!

T J Max has stores in every major city. I've never been to a more awesome store. The best clothes, shoes, dishes, collectables, perfumes from around the world at knock out prices. Plus so much more. When I lived in Dallas everybody went there. You just can't buy the best quality at the prices they have. You just can't believe the stuff they get from around the world. Believe me this is the same items that Neiman Marcus, Macy's all the biggies buy, but T J Maxx I don't know how they do it.

And how do you know this? Because that's not what I've heard. I applied for the job but didnt hear anything. I have a friend at EKU who works at the one in Richmond part time and she said they don't even have "assistant managers". They have the Store Manager and the Operations Manager and both the people I've heard received those positions were not linked to Walgreens.
TJ Maxx has a Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Store Associates in each store.
Check their web site for current openings for Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers.

So so SO excited that Somerset is getting a TJ Maxx. I think this will be a HUGE success in this area. There are no other stores in this area to get good name brand clothes. I go to the one in Richmond all the time and end up spending around 100-200 dollars every time but I always walk out with a brand new wardrobe!! The managers at that location are great as well. Excited to see who will be managing the one here.

You can fill out an application at the unemployment office. Talked to someone there today and they said they won't be officially hiring anyone (other than store mgr and ast store manager) until April, but they do have apps to fill out and leave there. Management will be picking them up and looking at them in April.

Wow. I just noticed the TJ Maxx logo being put up in grand central and I'm shocked. I really didn't think Somerset would be able to get a store like that. My family has shopped at TJ Maxx for years. I'm originally from Cincinnati and they're everywhere up there. When I retired to Somerset I never dreamed I would see one here. Nonetheless my wife and I are ecstatic!
