I have heard alot of good things about Somerset Elite- plus, it is really clean. I have been there and Top Notch for Birthday parties- Top Notch was so dirty, and it smelled really bad. I don't think I would ever take my daughter there.

That's why we have TOPIX - everyone is entitled to their own opinion :) I have children that have attend all 3 gyms in Somerset. We are now at Top Notch and are very happy there. For the record: I have not had bad experiences at any of them and the staff at all 3 were very friendly. The fact is they all offer 1st class free so anyone trying to make a decision where to go should take advantage of that instead of trusting someone else's opinion.

I took from Patty at the Dance Co. which is no longer here, however, Aislynn, that is with Somerset Elite, was one of my "teachers" while I attended. She is great! However, when I got to middle school, I started taking from Damon. HE'S THE BEST, BUT, he is no longer in somerset, but in columbia. I learnt SO much from him! I say, try all places out, then make your decision. I personally, recommend Somerset Elite.

My 2 girls go to Somerset Elite, one in cheer, the other in Power Tumbling. They are great with the kids there. They have both male and female coaches. Wonderful people work there. They have TONS of patience with the kids... some days, I don't see how they do it. At least 2 of the coaches have their own 3-4 year olds so they know first hand how kids are. I recommend them. We've been going there for about four years, if I wasn't happy with them, I'm go somewhere else, but they've never given me a reason to.

My daughter has taken classes at all three gyms during the last 4 years. I will say hands down that she enjoys the girls and staff at Top Notch more than any other. The head coach is wonderful with all the girls and my daughter loves her. She has learned more at Top Notch in the short time she has been there than she did at any other gym. I think before you pick a gym you should take advantage of the 1st free class.

missys gymnastics is where i have learned the most. Tammy at top-notch is a awesome coach but connie woodcock at missys is the best. missys offers a wide variety of classes including , parent tot, preschool, recreational, a backhandspring class, dance at all levels, pre- powertumbling, and power tumbling. i personally dont like SE but that is my oppinion. missys would be your best option for a 4 year old i think. cassie toney would be her coach and she is also awesome with kids. TNGA is also good.

MY DAUGHTERS ALL GO TO TOP NOTCH AND I TRULY LOVE IT THERE. MY KIDS LOVE TO GO TO GYM AND REALLY THRIVE IN POWER TUMBLING, WHICH SHOWS GREAT COACHING. COACHING STAFF AT TOP NOTCH IS VERY CAPABLE AT COACHING AT A RECREATIONAL AND COMPETITIVE LEVEL. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE 1ST CLASS FREE AND TRY IT OUT FOR YOURSELF. TOP NOTCH ALSO HAS ALL ADULT COACHES NOT TEENAGERS, SO THEY WILL GET QUALITY TRAINING.

TOP NOTCH IS NOT DIRTY, IT SI ALWAYS CLEAN WHEN WE ARRIVE FOR CLASS, IF YOU CAME TO B-DAY PARTY AND IT WAS MESSY OR STINKS IT PROBABLY WAS BECAUSE OF THE PARTIES BEFORE IT. I HAVE BEEN TO SEVERAL PARTIES THAT HAVE 30 SOMETHING BOYS THERE RUNNING FULL FORCE FOR 2 HOURS SURE IT IS GOING TO BE STINKY, THE ONLY REASON YOU DONT SMELL IT AT THE OTHER FACILITIES IS YOU ARE BEHIND A GLASS WALL AND CANT SMELL IT!

What age can a child start gymnastics? My daughter seems interested, but I think that she is too young.

somerset elite is the best by far. everyone really know what they are doing as far as tumbling and gymnastics goes and classes are based off of skill and experience. all the teachers are super nice! as far as damon goes, my personal experience with him was that he spotted WAY too much, at SE they actually let kids do things on their own when they reach that point bc at a competition no imaginary hand will reach out to spot you
