Four dead in Ohio, as the song goes. Yes I remember it well. Are you saying that having the National Guard in our schools today would result in much the same?
I don't think the National Guard is the ansewer.

I do not agree with guns in schools.Maybe a closed campus,or locked down during classes.Just a thought, security cameras.
How would a security camera stop an armed man intent on doing harm at a school? Do the cameras have death rays attached ?

Yea, me too, especially when someone brings them in to kill children. Too bad that the idiots aren't smart enough to match the murderers in firepower like the cops had to eventually do on the street.

Everyone is looking for the perfect answer and it is staring them right in the face.

Do you honestly think that a weapons ban will cause the criminals to turn in their guns? If you do then there is no hope for you to ever understand the truth and what is needed.

Sandy Hook Elementary had a very good security system with numerous cameras. Someone even had to buzz in any visitors but it didn't stop a mad man did it? An armed officer inside the door would have stoped all those murders but idiots can't seem to grasp that.

Gun band is not the ansewer.
I read this morning, that Los Angeles bought 14 Colt m16 style rifles at a cost of $1000.00 a piece. If they do not hit their target, the bullet will be going thru a couple of walls. Then you have a problem of students being in danger.I know about bullet fragmentation of the 223 round, but I also know you can destroy a block wall with it.I think this is overkill in the situation.
The safty of the students also has to be taken into consideration.

If some one was paying attention to the camera system, and they had an alarm system to shut down and lock up.It would have given them a better chance.Maybe with that camera they had a steel door instead of glass.

I'm thinking the government needs to announce that all principals will now be required to carry a side arm. Whether they do or not just that knowledge alone should force most of those looking for these soft targets to rethink.

The problem is not guns.
The problems that cause the shootings are mainly, poor parenting and our mental health system.
We have no mental health system.

Two days ago I went to the homeland security website to research fusion centers and about an hour later my computer got the FBI virus. The page had the FBI seal and a photo of two arms in handcuffs, it had no way to exit off the page. The page told me that my computer would be locked until I paid $200 and if it wasn't paid within 48 hours, I would be arrested and could face 25 to life for domestic terrorism. I knew that when it asked for money that it wasn't for real but I wonder how many fall for it. It cost me $40 to get the virus removed.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Coming to a state near you, thanks to obama and his campaign to the states to get this done on the state level. This will save him from being blamed.

I take it that you are not prolife in the sense that you believe that victims of carjackings, home invasions, etc.,should have the right to defend themselves.

Check out this spin.
Now, they're talking about gun bans "protecting" guns.
Are people really that stupid?
