it wasn't sherry Gilmore. Suzi is my ex wife and she has her ring (if she didn't pawn it, I think she did) My ex Sherry didn't get her's since she broke up with me. I'm not trying to make a buck. I just want my money back out of it, and since you a women would you want a man to give you a ring he had bought for someone else?

Its bad luck to give an ex's ring to the new love... get rid of it- they always find out it belonged to the ex!!!

You may want to add more details about the ring. What is the total karat weight of the diamonds, what size is it, how much did you give for it, do you have the receipt, how much do you want for it, do you have proof that it's real, is it laser marked? Things like that. And if you do have something to verify it's authenticity you might want to consider ebay. Might get more for it there.

Its a little under 1 ct total weight. Ya I have the papers on it. its a size 7. I'm not a big fan of ebay but have thought about that as well.

Can you not take it back to the place that you got it? I know it's hard dealing with places like that cause they want to keep the money but you could maybe work something out with them. Some would at least let you do store credit and that would be a good start on "mom's" Christmas present and "dad" an awesome watch or something.
Anything would be better then being stuck with it.

And I know too what you mean bout ebay. I've put some stuff on there and it almost seems like it is more hassle then it's worth. But a ring with papers might be worth it. Put a reserve on it and lots of detail. The worst that it would do is cost you 35 cents if it doesn't meet the reserve and it may get close enough that you would wheel and deal anyway.

Personally, and I don't mean to offend you, but I don't see you selling it for that much. I bought my entire wedding set, with the engagement ring being a 1 carat solitaire, for $600.
You are asking pretty much asking for the original price, even though it is used.

You have to remember too the 4 C's (clarity, cut, color and carat) of diamonds. That will make a big difference on the price. A higher quality diamond is going to bring a much higher price, as well as if it is laser marked and registered. A lesser quality diamond will sell for much less.

In saying that, I too would almost say that the asking price is a little higher than most people would pay around here without any guarantees. If you could find somebody that would give you as much as $500 you would probably be lucky and should jump on it. Sucks I know, but that's the reality of previously owned stuff....no matter how good it is.

yea you have to know the clarity of the diamond and etc. to really know what its worth. also who made the ring? what are the initials of the hallmark or the name in the ring.
is it white gold or yellow? 10k? 14k?
