I have called my representative in fiscal court and recommend everybody else do the same. Voice your opinion. I also called members of state government to voice my concerns.

The longer any politician is in office the more invincible they think they become, no one is above the law, Mr. Molen who i know as a decent guy, never seen this other stuff should have his day and let a jury decide his fate, if i was Wood i would put him on administrative duty till this is over to protect everyone involved including him
You do have some valid points, but I want to add something here if I may. I've scoured the inmates and recent arrests online a few times. In doing so, I've also noticed a good portion of these arrested individuals with black eyes, facial contusions, etc.. I've also noticed that the arresting officer was Molen quite a number of times..

Coincidence? I still can't say for certain. And as you said, a court of law needs to decide. I also agree that he should be place on administrative leave until this is settled in a court of law.

It's NEVER permissible for an officer of the law to use excessive force on someone who they are in the process of detaining. NEVER. The use of REASONABLE force IS. Sadly, the word "excessive" does seem to fit this scenario in my opinion when you look at some of these mugshots.. Therefore, it seems to be a reasonable issue.

I tend to look at both sides of a situation before I make my mind up about someones character. In this case, I can't honestly say one way or the other if he is a bad cop or a good cop per se. But since sometime last year when these issues started coming to light, I admit that I have seen a pattern of what appears to be abusive force.

Thank goodness I've never had to personally find for myself.. In all of the years I've lived around here, I've never once been pulled over for anything.....

Folks when you look back at the system as a whole operating in Pulaski County, the FBI should be investigating those at the top of the food chain. Lets look back a bit of the history. Here is some things to look at....Unsolved Murder Cases, Accidental shootings/overdoeses and cases brought before the court.( wasn't Bullock relatives involved in a case?), Plea deal with a coroner, Bids and contract negotiations (lets look back at years of deals with roadway constructions and who had monetary benefits if a road twist in a certain direction), Airport, Contracts of Courthouse, Contracts of Library, Contracts of YMCA.
All the business that has went on in the County Court and all the officials involved need investigated by federal agents. Go look at the last 15 years alone at who had their hands in the cookie jar. And please don't forget the refinery deal and fill up your tank while visiting.

The Federal officials are arm pit deep in the cookie jar themselves!
(and) if they were to even try to do their job the results would be much like the requested investigation of the Boston bombers!
Russia warned the FBI,(no result) so, they called up the CIA (no results)
WHAT? do you think they could do to stop corruption and a minor case of head thumping by the top dogs of Pulaski county.
My thought on the matter WE NEED MORE GOOD HEAD THUMPERS!
just maybe the upper class might get them a adjustment from a good head thumping cop someday!

Off Topic

Somerset, KY

#192 Jul 8, 2013
Everybody can change the topic, everybody can point fingers, it's irrelevant. There is a problem in this county with our elected officials not representing their constituents and excessive force being used by some law enforcement officials. It's common knowledge among the community that this has gone on for several years. This is a problem that needs to be looked at by federal officials if the locals won't stop it.

Only one comment and I'm done - My interest in this whole scenario was that Danny Whitaker was able to salvage his good name and career - He is a good law abiding man and citizen - Now , the outcome of this indictment is up to the Feds , and it has no bearing on me , as a citizen or bullstuff poster - Granted , we all would like to have a boss that would go to the ends of the earth in protecting and supporting their employees -
However , it seems to me that this ongoing ordeal is casting a pall over their entire dept., and it don't seem fair to the staff and the road deputies - If this is Todd's last rodeo , so be it , but why shadow the entire office for the alledged wrongdoings of a single person ?- I've had no official contact with Molen , only spoke to him once , and I hope he gets help with any behavioral problems , but I think he should let the "Educator" nickname vanish and at the very least , take a vacation 'til this situation is rectified -

KIA9, I agree whole heartedly with your post. While there are a couple that work there that need to be removed, There are many good men who work there that did not ask to have to deal with this. Most of these people have done nothing wrong to my knowledge, and simply are trying to provide. Lets not blame them for having a boss who cares more about his best friend than the rest of the employees.
