Just wondering what kind of winter everyone believes we are going to have?

I don't know why, but I just have that gut feeling that we're going to have a really rough winter.

September 2011
4th-7th. Violent thunderstorms from Kentucky north through the Great Lakes.
8th-11th. Pleasant Ohio River north.
12th-15th. Clearing for most sections.
16th-19th. Violent squalls in the Midwest. Big thunderstorms also for Kentucky.
20th-23rd. Rainy weather for the Great Lakes south, tapering off and ending by the 23rd.
24th-27th. Fair along Ohio River, then becoming unsettled.
28th-30th. Fair and dry, with pleasant temperatures.

October 2011
1st-3rd. Squalls across Great Lakes.
4th-7th. Fair skies.
8th-11th. Breezy and showery.
12th-15th. Fair, followed by increasing clouds.
16th-19th. Mixed sun and clouds.
20th-23rd. Very unsettled.
24th-27th. Fair skies.
28th-31st. Stormy for the Ohio River and Great Lakes, where some wet snow could fall.

November 2011
1st-3rd. Fair and unseasonably cold.

I think we are in for a cold wet winter myself.

My grandfather always said if there were three foggy mornings in August, it would be a harsh winter. Also, he said if three black wolly worms crossed the road in front of you in July, it would be a harsh winter. I live in Tennessee. I haven't seen one black wolly worm, but almost half of the month of August had foggy mornings. I think it will be cold and not as snowy as usual, but it won't last as long as last year.

But it all depends on how the Good Lord does it, I guess.
