Recently a reporter for a small newspaper in Whitley County received national recognition and a journalism award for exposing corruption in the local sheriff's office. The former sheriff of Whitley county has since been indicted and incarcerated on numerous federal charges.

Recognize a pattern here?

Its not going to happen here. The CJ only writes what is given to them, they are not going to investigate anything.

Not only did they give a free pass, they congratulated him on a great job he was doing . Just shows how people with no guts, shouldn't be in office!! Strunk and Maxey. Burnett, Turpin and the none factor Wilson they have no guts when it comes to standing up against the grain!! Bullock is clueless, i think all that Bullock worries about is when is lunch and where he is going to sing this Sunday, it shows in his running of this county.

Sheriffs department we got now is more corrupt than the last in office, they need the Feds following them 24/7 with their uav's , and drug tested before hiring, and the ones already in the department, oh I'm sorry they wood have few left. I'm tired of better than you justice in this town! It's a joke!!! Let's put real cops in office other than the apple dumpling gang like we have now!!! This is just freedom of speech I'm speeking, and the truth!!!!!!!

It is good to see the Auditor standing by her guns and not buying the sheriff's and fiscal court's BS. I guess the next step is to see if she can get the grand jury involved and if not, maybe the feds.
Sure, you are right: they have no guts and the balls of a mouse. But how do we get rid of them when all we have to chose from are a bunch of retreads that have already proven their incompetence and corruptness?

there are more sheriffs' just like the one in whiltley county who is abusing the system because they think we the people will stand by and let it happen. we people are very smart and deserve officials who are serving us instead of us serving them by degrading us.thank God we have one less corrupt sheriff roaming around here in the state of ky.Dont ever be afraid to stand up for what is right because no matter the out come at least a differance was made because you chose to stand.
