We've still not been there yet. As soon as I'm over that way again, we'll try them.

Thanks for all the honest input. It's refreshing to see on here for a change.

J. Gumgo's is very good, we ate there last week, just weird eating J. Gumbo's without a beer. All the others I've eaten at served beer; beer sales will help J. Gumbo's in the future, when Somerset goes wet later this year!

Prediction , gumbo today , curry in the future - Probably wont last - Interior design not conducive to fine dining , building still for sale , no close parking , probably being financed by outa country interests , no wine with meals , no beer with meals , no prices listed in flyer (except one concerning kids portions , "1/2 size kids entree=$4.00" , meaning a full kid's portion will be $8.00)-McD's Happy meals , w/ sr. coffee for g-pa is still $4.04 - Wish any new business well , but don't think the time's right for this menu -
Are you serious?! Where are you from?! First, we are dry county so nobody has wine with dinner. Plus, Somerset isn't really geared toward find dinning. You are clueless.

And what the hell do you know about J Gumbo's nothing is frozen, or precooked everything comes in fresh in the cooler. As far as I am concerned you should be reading about J Gumbo's instead you posting comments about something your wrong about. You should also be more worried about your store, which is next store then our's. It goes to show people like you have no life and is to worried about what other are doing then your own life. I think it is time for you to grow up and shut up.

Tried it. It was a huge bowl of rice with a choice a cup of Cajun meat toppings, a slice of toasted buttered bread and a coke. Over priced for $8.00. I hope it makes it but it's not my choice. I do like hot foods. I's give it a 4.

Surprisingly, people think they're getting "fresh" snow crab legs.(Even when they go to the southern coastal regions). Snow crab comes from COLD ocean waters, LOL.

I've developed a new and greater appreciation for those "crab catcher" guys. After watching the T.V. shows on what they go through to get them to us? Dang, it's sure not a job that I'd want to do.

C'mon now, LOL! That's a little far fetched. Corell shovels our food to us? Not unless a profit could be derived from Gluteal "exhaust". "Gas" profits making him the man he supposedly is after all.(According to public opinion).

It is nothing like that. It reminds me a lot of Bourbon and Toulouse in Lexington. They too have counter sales. The food is premade (although with them not being a chain it is probably on site), kept in pots and then put on plates and served. It is much better than your precious McDonalds and a very welcome change. Two people can eat for under $20 with drinks so it is very reasonably priced as well. Nothing at all wrong with J. Gumbo's. Have you even tried it?

Some people need to travel and try authentic food.. with fresh ingredients... sorry, but when it comes in a bag from a corporate kitchen... well.. you do the math. I tried it, there is some flavor... but.. there is so much more when its fresh. No I am not the owner of any other food establishment. It is a bit overpriced. They will do good and it works. Wishing all the best for them. Don't look for it to be spotlighted on food network.
