Im looking for a little girl. She is 2 years old born Oct.8,2010. Her dad is in Jail. And her mom signed her rights over to state. She is a very sweet little girl. I can not have kids of my own and I know her family and I am wanting to adopt her and give her a wonderful life. If anyone knows anything about it PLEASE comment.

Dont know the answer but if you want her..she NEEDS you. Find her and fight for her. I see so many kids with messed up parents and messed up lives..bad teeth..no hugs..no stories at bedtime. Good luck. I wish you all of the best.

I posted the correct info since the child's concerns, safety and welfare is first in the eyes of the State.
Her location will not be given out just because a friend of the family,( Father already in jail and the Mother has signed off to the state.)

There are paperwork, interviews, background checks, NCIS and local Police record checks, before even seeing this child.
This is not a safe world anymore, anytime, anywhere.

Also just because the father is in jail, that doesn't mean he has lost his rights. Unless of course he is never getting out. Also if she wants to adopt this little girl and is a family friend, the family can speak on her behalf. They could also speak against her getting the child too. Yet I am assuming that there is other family that just couldn't take her. Like you said DOJ after going through those necessary checks she might be able to foster her based on the situation with the father.
I did it

if you truly want this little girl you need to go visit the dad. the mom will not be able to have no say. the father will be the only one that can say that he would like the little girl placed in a certain home. if you can get the dad to let you have custody of the little girl than you would not have such a battle to get her.
if not than you are going to have to go through foster care training and be willing to only be her foster parent if you are approved of being a foster parent. than after 6 months the little girls situation will be reviewed and determined what is in the best interest for her if rather staying in your home would be best or if they will be able to place her with her family member that wants her.
a friend of mine just went through this actually she was just given custody of her 4 year old niece. after both parents had been arrested on drug charges and the police found the little girl in a closet. the court made a deal with the mom to give the little girl up and they would dismiss the charges of abuse and neglect on the mom if she testified against the dad. the mom agreed to testify. the dad went to court and he actually beat all the charges of abuse and turned it all on the mom. but the court sentenced him to 12 years for the drug charges. the court had done placed the child in states custody when my friend found out. she went to see about getting the little girl and was given a run around and all the things that had to be done first because the dad refused to let anyone take the little girl. so she went to the jail talked with him for over 3 months before he finally agreed to allow her to take the little girl. it cost her $150 to go to an attorney who wrote up the papers giving the her complete custody of the little girl and removing his rights to the little girl. she is an amazing child and has came very far with her aunt, she seems really happy with her. I hope you do get this little girl and make her as happy as my friend has her niece.
