Which sport is the toughest? And, why do these Soccer Players just lie on the ground, and get carted off of the field instead of taking some pride and running, or even walking off like a real man?

Football is for people afraid to hit without pads. Wanna try it on for size? Don't throw off on Soccer til you,ve been slide tackled and had some broken ribs. How about a boy who almost lost his leg last year at SWHS due to kick from another player. Don't talk about what you don't know about.

Have you ever played soccer? I did just for kicks for a couple of years, and actually played on PC's first ever Varsity soccer team when I was in the 7th grade. I played because everyone kept on begging me to play, and it looked to be fun too. I also played football. I never could, even then understand why the soccer players did this on t.v. I know that it may be part of the gamesmanship, but come on... take a little pride!! I never would have allowed anyone to cart me off! I know there are certain circumstances, but I think everyone knows what I am talking about. The football players have to wear all the pads. If they didn't they would kill one another, just like they did in the early 1900's until President Roselvelt started regulating the sport. Hundreds were killed every year until then!

Have you ever played football, the pads don't stop the pain or injurys and there is no comparison between football and soccer if you want to play football with out pads, that's rugby and I don't know many in this area who could last very long in that sport.
By far, hands down football is a tougher sport, but soccer like any sport is not easy, it takes hard work, and injurys but to say it's football without pads is stupid.

Then you were never hurt enough to be carted off. To walk off when you might have a spinal injury or a severve break would be stupid - Grow up. Even Football players cart people off. So shut up about the topic. I've played every sport there is and by far soccer was the most demanding. Just the running alone not stop would put most players over in the corner throwing thier guts up. There's no comparison in conditioning. Football is designed for short burst. Soccer is not stop the whole time except to sub or injury. I think you were a bench warmer in the 7th grade or you would know this.

Again... "I know there are certain circumstances, but I think everyone knows what I am talking about." Didn't I just say that earlier? Yeah, didn't start Varsity in 7th, but did come off the bench to play 30-45 minutes a game though! Not too bad for a seventh grader in only two full years playing the sport. That's part of my point too that I didn't bother to mention. All you have to do is be just a decent athlete, and you can pick up the game very easily. I starred against kids my own age. Also, I always got more winded playing basketball than in Soccer!!!

You must have played in a defensive position if you got more winded playing basketball. Either that or you were one of those players that the other players had to come out of their positions to cover because you couldn't get to where you were supposed to be!

No, I was a foward in soccer, and starting point guard on Somerset's Basketball team. Nonstop, hard, full court man-to-man defense on the hardwood did the trick! I had to try to rest on offense while running the point!!!!!!! My 2-guard never wanted to help bring it up - he just wanted to shoot!!

Comparing football to soccer? Please both utilize different abilities. I don't know many soccer players that can lift anywhere near alot of football players, and I don't know many football players that can run at the pace required for soccer. I personally respect both types of athletes.
