There are many people in Kentucky that vote on their moral beliefs over their financial state. I'm not saying I do or don't agree with that stand. I do applaud people for turning out to vote for the issues that are important to them. Each of us have our own ideas of what is important to us and in which place and order those issues stand in our life. In my book ky is the greatest state in the greatest nation on earth. I don't agree with everything that happens but I fault no one for their beliefs at least not till it comes to name calling.

It'll be interesting to hear what everyone has to say on January 3 when they get their first 2013 paycheck and see how much more is being deducted. Those taxes are already law under Obamacare. One wave phases in in 2013, one in 2014 and one in 2015. But then, I guess everyone can just blame George Bush. I'm betting the brilliant voters in all the blue states won't be calling anyone hillbillies then.

You're confusing. First you create a forum with a header intended to invoke anger, then you try to sound reasonable in your post. Are you, or are you not looking down on us 'poor hillbillys'?

But you are partially right. We should be able to see, and vote on the big picture. This is why I voted against Obama.

forward,,,, yup same plan,,, give bail outs to big business,,, and fix health care that is not really broken.,, keep the open door policy for illegals, keep fighting 3 or 4 wars at the same time and give lots of freebies (welfair) to all that ask for it, even the illegals. great!!! the path to a broken broke 3rd rate country continues.

Before any major election, simply journey out at lunch while the local zombies are chawing on a fat burger and listen to them grunt to each other about how they should vote. The local dialect can be hard to follow with its constant snarls, throat clearings, spitting, groans, and profanity laced grandiose displays of exuberant idiocy and the occasional manifestation of full blown Prader-Willis syndrome. At any rate, once the locals have barked, chewed, and spit their way to a conclusion, simply vote against whoever they support.

People need to be voting on fiscal issues, not morality to begin with. There is no place for government in religion, and vice versa. Seems the Republicans are ignoring that part of the constitution to get a segment of the population to vote for them. They're no different than Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. How about the politician in Tennessee who rails against abortion, yet forced his mistress to get one, to save his marriage and campaign? You talk about bailouts? The Republicans are the ones who supported the bank bailouts ....part of which went to pay CEO bonuses! At the Chrysler bailout actually worked!
Now, before you Democrats start crowing, you're no better. You talk about being for the little guy, while helping the Republicans pass job killing free trade legislation, etc. You don't do what you say you'll do either. You guys shot down the bank bailouts, then went back on your word. You're no better.....

If you're referring to me, I voted third party. I am a registered independent, and I have never, nor will I ever vote for EITHER of the duopoly of corrupt power in this country, bank on that.
