I can say I have never beleived in ghosts, however I lived in a house on Park Avenue and I now beleive in ghosts. Doors would open and shut by themselves while I was sitting still watching tv. Lights would come after I would shut them off. All kinds of sounds of people walking in the middle of the night. My son was young at the time and his bedroom was upstairs, he would tell me someone was in his room all hours of the night. I finally let him sleep in my room. I moved out after three months. Everytime I go by that house I am reminded of the horror I spent there. It is most definately haunted.
I too lived in a house on park avenue, had the same incedences happen to me...whoever left this post,,,do you remember the house number, I do!!

have heard several accounts of two places being haunted, the house next to the graveyard on hacker rd right off ringold, the house in the dip on park ave, the house right after rocky hallow park on the right headed towards old britthaven, the house across from ferguson post office that has the L shaped porch, if you ask people who have been to these places they can tell you first hand, even seen a facebook post from one of the guys less than a week ago in ferguson about his cellar door giving him some "trouble"

I haven't been able to pinpoint the site of Katherine's grave. I was told that it was in Barren Fork Cemetery but from later information I was told that the person was Anne Foster (I think) instead of Katherine. I am still researching her, although I'm not having much luck. There is supposed to be a witch buried in Soules Chapel according to some stories but i have yet to hear the story behind her.
the cemetary yourntalking about is correct and the story of the white fence around the witches grave is actually anna fosters grave..katherines grave is in the woods near the edge toward the old mining camp

Ive been to souls chapel before but never seen anything. They say a face appears on one of the graves I dunno about all that. Anyone seen anything there?
I have been there 2 times and I will say I won't be going again ..... I pulled in once and right away saw the spot where the church was burned down , there is supposed to be a tree where people were hung , and it draws you closer to it . I wouldn't go anywhere near any trees but I felt very weary when I walked on the stairs of the burnt church ... I was walking , reading the names of the people , and I saw a shadow ... I don't know what it was but it creeped me out .... I kept walking feeling a little bit scared and came across a doll sitting on a grave ..... It was a child's doll with a cracked face and burnt hair and a burnt dress , It felt as if it was staring into me .... But I wasn't ready to leave it got more interesting , I kept walking and the doll had appeared to move to he grad stone right in front of me ..... That's where I was out . I ask all of you if you are going to go there to respect them , don't touch anything , be respectfull to them . I noticed something very sad and got me angry ..... Beer bottles and cigar packs every where , it's stupid how drunks come here and and disrespect the property . But good luck and be safe ! It's somewhere amazing but I won't be going again any time soon .....

Hunny, you shouldn't have waited till you wuz 33 years old to go there. You've lived with witchcraft all of your life, from before you was born.

There is this road out 80 called 1956. It's right past shopville, go out that road and then make a right down a hill past a bridge. There is a house that sits at the end of the road where supposably a whole family was found hanging from the tree in the front yard in 1956. There are newspaper articles taped up on the wall in the house about the deaths. It's a pretty creepy place.
I haven't been able to find anything about this. Do you know what newspaper, or anything else about the house or family?

Any further info on this place? The family history, news, etc.? Hard to track this stuff down.
