I agree completely. Look at the wasted talent that has come through there the last few years think from 2005 til today. That adds up to alot of boys that could have and should have played at the next level but didnt.
Coach A has a tendency to really groom the talent until their senior year then he drops them
Such as?...

Somerset: 100 years of football.. NO titles
Pulaski Co.: 25 years of football.. NO titles
Southwestern: 15 years of football.. NO titles
Until someone wins one, exactly what is meant by "that much talent".. Evidently Somerset, PC, nor SW have had enough...

As I read this I thought of Coach HINES!! LOL...PC Fans know how you feel, same crap, just different game night!! PC loaded with talent but its really wasted talent in alot of fans view!!! you are right step into the times coaches, put something new in the playbooks!!!!
Hey LOL...Hines is still alive and kicking. By the way, how many games has PC won in a row over Southwestern? Yep, that's what I thought...three years and running.

I disagree with your last statement!! Ive seen many seniors go on to play college ball from SWHS! My son plays at PC, and let me just say this...Senior parents this year cant even get senior film from Hines!! Hines has had several talented players, but he has only helped his select few!! I WISH my son could have played for Coach A cause Im sure he would have been alot better off then he is right now in his senior year!!!! My son and I both are sooo HAPPY this is his last year to play for Hines!! What a waste of LOTS of talent at PCHS, thats why there are NO TITLES, and it wasnt coaching that got this first one just ask some parents or players!!!

Coach A's players have not been better than the rest of the kids in the county.. He just works harder than the other coaches to get his kids recruited.. He's also helped kids from PC,Somerset and other area schools get to the next level.

<quoted text>All Talent that has passed thru SWHS has been coached by Coach A...SWHS is the newest HS in Pulaski Co...I see NO State Champs out o Somerset during thier over 100 years tenure nor do I see any State trophys at PC either...So why is all the emphasis on SWHS?...
Well, if state titles are the only measure of success, then you can automatically discount over 90 percent of all high school programs as failures.

The game has evolved, so it's really tough to compare eras. Hell, for half of Somerset's history, the KHSAA didn't even have a playoff system.

Since playoffs were implemented, though, Somerset has averaged one regional title every five years and one trip to the state finals every twelve seasons. Not a sterling record, but still conspicuously superior to "those other two."

If your not in it to "win it" the coaches have picked the wrong profession. The UK football program strives every year for mediocrity, and the elusive 6th win, but not at a 5A high school should that be the case.

I recall Somerset winning several CKC Conference Titles back in the Sixties and Seventies. I do believe those would be considered Titles

I would hate to correct you.....but SW does not have a regional title to their record. SW has onl been out of the 2nd rond one time in 2006 and they lost the regional game to Central. Not a regional title. And even though PC does not have as many district titles....they have been as far as SW in the playoffs.
yeah i meant to say sw has 3 more than pc and does a region runner-up title. thats what i meant, just too early in the morning.

Pulaski has also been a Region runner-up. It seems to me with ALL that D-1 talent at SW, they would at least have gone deeper into the playoffs than PC. Just the way I see it.

PC has had several kids with D1 talent.. Hines just don't work hard enough for them.. Does he make highlight tapes of every senior and send them to over 200 colleges?? Does he take his players to Nike camps and other college camps to be seen by numerous college reps?? Pretty sure the answer is NO..
