Religion is a system of beliefs, not one belief. That's the first thing you got wrong. One belief wouldn't constitute a system. I don't believe there are no deities, I lack belief in deities. It doesn't take any faith at all to lack belief in something. That is how we define atheism these days, as a lack of belief in deities. You're also wrong by equating the amount of faith it would take to believe in a universe with no deities to the amount of faith it takes to believe in a specific deity. I've never seen a deity, or any evidence for one. It would take very little faith to follow that lack of evidence to the conclusion that there aren't any deities anywhere. It takes even less faith to believe that specific deities don't exist, because some of those claims are testable, and often fail the tests.

You are simply wrong. Christianity is a group of religions and there is a wide variance on thier respective dogmas. Your opinion about it is just that, your opinion. You do not speak for all Christians. My particular religion has no trouble with germ theory, astronomy or any science. Partly because we take an interpretive view of the bible and do not regard it as the final word on really anything seeing as it was written by rather uneducated people compared to modern science. They were well educated for their time, but their time is long gone. The people around today insisting that the bible is the final word will be left in the dust. We were given a brain for a reason. To deliberately limit one's learning is a sin.

I don't know which sect you belong to but if you reject the fact that Christianity is about obsession with Christ then you do not understand Christianity.

I'm an atheist and I get it. I've also studied the history of Christianity and this is the common refrain: it is about Jesus.
