Bronson Man: I couldn't agree with u more. I just stopped and put 15.00 In, and with Gas price to Ratio Amount its ridiculous! And then layer on the factor Unfortunately for us, Somerset is undoubtedly the highest county surrounding. However respectively a Topix "boy-cott" reminder is relevant to nothing productive to solve Somerset's gas gouging issue. Really.:-/

People tend to buy fuel when they need it so unless you have a large tanker truck it's not cost effective to go somewhere else and buy it. The power to be know this.

my vehicle holds 26 gallon f150, at 20 mpg how far can you drive out of the way?
I just do my shoping in Boyle County instead of Pulaski County !
YES, this screws other retailers but I saved 11.50 in one tank of gas and drove 30 miles to town instead of 10!
So, I spent one gallon of gas more to save 11.50 and to know I did not get screwed by Somerset gas MAFIA!

I bought 50 in gas today in corbinfor 3.09.. so. This is the only way to not get screwed here. And really crazy that nothing will ever b done about it. Shop and fuel up outside of Somerset. That's the only way tl take our town back so to speak.

THIS!

Good man.

Corbin is a short drive, and they already have their liquor stores. Make a drive, see the falls along the way!

What time is the meeting at city hall? I'd like to be there..

This time I wasn't able to finagle a way around having to buy gasoline in Somerset last night. Usually I'll plan a trip, "ration" a bit to save my gas up to that point and make a way to fill up when I'm out of Somerset. This time I couldn't do that for reasons beyond my control and I'm just as confused and frustrated as everyone else is.

The gas price issue in Somerset has been ongoing for too many years already and collectively we have to find a way to fix this. It's time that someone explains to us exactly WHY it has been allowed to go on for so long.

Time to put an end to it once and for all. Let me know when this meeting is, I'll be there.

I'm sorry, I didn't see your time for this meeting had been posted. I typed in my comment and had to walk away from the laptop for a minute. Thank you! I'll be there! I want some answers too. VALID ANSWERS, although I don't expect to hear any given at this meeting...

(Yet).

Yeah, just type "gas" in the search forum above the main thread listings.

This goes back years and years.

Hey Nope, why is this thread getting censored?

It's just discussing gas prices. No names mentioned, yet a post by DaGasssMan that explained how local gas stations got their pricing was just left maybe 30 minutes ago is now gone.

Yes it does go back for years and I'm sick and tired of it too. I travel out of town a LOT, so I know what gas prices are as soon as you get away from this town...

Like I said, I've pretty much been able to avoid paying for gas around here altogether until last night. I couldn't help it this time, I was forced into buying locally. The vehicle was about to run on fumes and there was nothing I could do to avoid it. Have too much running to do IN TOWN this week and no feasible way to get OUT OF TOWN for getting the gas I'm going to need.

Man, was I ticked off~ I don't like being forced into purchasing gas here at these prices. Gasoline isn't a luxury item, it's a necessity and we're getting robbed blind..

I want to know why this is going on, I want to know why it's been going on for so long now, I want to hear some factual proof on exactly who's pocket is getting fat from our purchases, and I want to know why nothing is being done about it.

I don't know. You'd have to use feedback to ask a Mod.

So let's not allow the trolls to get on here and start throwing rocks at me and take the thread off topic like they always do. You know these trolls think it's me already.
