I am looking for a new church close to downtown Somerset where we can feel accepted as late 20s professional couple. Also, very much want to be involved in the church. Prefer music that is more contemporary and pastor that preaches a good message each week. Would like to hear any recommendations with start times if you know them. Please NO CHURCH BADGERING - JUST SERIOUS PLACES TO WORSHIP GOD!

Why do you feel you need to mention that you are a professional couple? What is church badgering?

I, too, am seeking a church with a great youth program. I use to attend High Street Baptist and I am considering going back there in the morning. We could be the "new" families together if you wish. I want a church with a good youth program and I have been hearing alot of great things about their group. So I'll probably be there around 11:00 in the morning. Hope you come too so I won't be the only 'new people' there!!

You should try Somerset Christian Fellowship. It is off of Javis right nect to the gas station. It is a huge brick shurch and I think that emanuel babptist used to be thier before they built a new chuch. There numbers are prolly in the 40's. Seems like they have everything you are looking for.

ODD - There are a lot of good descent threads here, but there will be someone out there with a very indecent comment. I believe this is why SeekingChurch made this statement.

It wasn't necessary to mention the word 'professional.' As for badgering, it should have been BASHING.... I love God and just want to find a place to live for Him!

As for other questions, we don't want a really small church, but not really large either. We have attended different denominations and don't feel that is as important as just being surrounded in fellowship with others that love Jesus Christ.

Shouldn't have even said just downtown, as really anywhere in Somerset would work.

I would like to invite you to Eubank Baptist. It is not close to downtown, but about 12 miles from downtown. GREAT youth program. All the kids love the youth pastor. Ryan works with middle school, high school, and college kids, as individual groups. Sunday school is at 9:45, worship service @ 10:45, and evening service @ 6:00. Your family will like it there Bro. Shelby gives excellent sermons.

You should give East Somerset Baptist church a try. We have a wonderful Youth program, and a Pastor and Youth Pastor and staff that are super. For the whole experience I think it would be hard to beat. We are located on Pumphouse Road across from Somersport Park. Sunday School is at 9:30 and Morning Service at 10:40. Sunday Night at 6 pm. Wed. night at 7 pm.
