the taste of dirt could be a sign of a line break. When water mains break dirt seeps in. There is no loss of water pressure. That could be the culprit

is it possible that you maybe mistaken for the taste of algae? when winter comes, and the warm water rises to the surface, to realeas its warmth, the algae stirs, and then the problem with taste can start...that happend here, but about 1 month ago...

if its 'dirty' tasting, i'd call the water company

I live in Eubank and our water tastes like dirt too. There has been so many water advisories in this area due to the road construction. This has been going on for a few months. We now buy bottled water to drink. Other family members have complained about the taste.

the taste of dirt started long before it got cold. Which water company would you advise, it tastes like dirt all over the county.

Mine also tastes like dirt. I've been told it's from the low water levels due to lack of rain. When the water level is low, you get the taste of the dirt and leaves and who knows what else that settles at the bottom. I put a Pur water filter on my kitchen faucet a few weeks ago. It works great. They're like $25 at Walmart.

I have Eubank water too. When I called the office they said the lake was " turning over " whatever that mean & said the water could taste and smell bad for along time.

I think that was a joke. I'm pretty sure they weren't being serious. Lighten up.
