I don't know if any of you have withered there but I worked there are almost a year and try treated me like crap! They don't pay nothing. It's a joke of a company! The idea of it is awesome (to help people that need it in the community) but that office treats people badly and doesn't appreciate them or respect them.

I agree, Carrie. I worked there for about 6 months and finally got tired of running the wheels off of my car. I was paying more in gas than what I was making. The idea of helping people is awesome, but the owners take advantage of their employees. I empathize with the people who need help. Comfort Keepers charges them an arm and a leg... looks like they could afford to pay their employees more on the hour, or at least have a couple of company cars as much as the employees are required to travel!

Welcome to America: maybe one day you will be one of us "losers!" I hope that somebody somewhere shows you the same compassion you have shown on here!

It is a money making deal for the owners, mother, daghter and family owned. They are suppose to pay your gas mileage, if they are not doing that, take them to court. Call the BBB and report them, call Send a letter to Hal Rogers and the attorney general in frankfort, guarantee it will get looked into on their practices. Might be a good time to do a state audit on this family operation. Comfort Keepers is a franchise that these people hooked up with The corporation has nothing to do with local operations. Get the information to the right people and see what happens.

They did pay gas mileage but only after 10 miles from the office and I sometimes don't think they really paid people for all their mileage.

Call the BBB and report to them, and send an email to the attorney general office. Let them be investigated, Heck the IRS might want to take a peek.

Yeah. Really! I am sure they got sumthan shady going on. It's sad. They act like they are doing such a service to the community and really they are just sucking everyone dry and using the poor people who work for them to help them do it!!

Yes the office located in somerset is a huge joke!!! Ask them when's the last time they showed up for a funeral??! We caregivers were the ones who went, ck didn't show because they weren't getting payed to go! They are heartless, snotty, inconsiderate, they under pay, and over charge for the services they provide! I think I may turn them in, I know for sure there are times I didn't recieve my full pay for mileage. It's amazing what they've gotten by with but promise all this will come back to get them one day! Greed gets you no where and for them to say they are christians they should be the first ones to tell you thats one of the deadly sins!!!!!

I sit in on an orientation. After a hefty background and credit check they offered me a job starting out 1 day a week and be on call the rest. They said I would get paid or being on call 5 hours a day.

I took another part time job instead because it was more reliable.

I have to say, they seemed like they had a good company going and took care of the employees from what they told us during the orientation.

What type(s) of work were you expected to perform? What was the rate of pay per hour, and what deductions were taken out? Where exactly is the Somerset Office located?

The office is behind Monticello banking company across from mighty dollar.
