I think El Naggar and El Kalliny are really great. They know their stuff and have helped MANY people from all over the world. ANY surgery has its risks. So many people want perfection, but that's just not possible. I agree with Camel MD, we are fortunate to have them here. Bad Back, seems you'd be better off to put up with the pain as long as it takes to get in to see one of them.
i agree 100% they are the best. not only are they fantastic, the staff at the nccu unit were absolutely amazing!! the best care and unity i have ever seen in a hospital setting. they are a well oiled machine. they not only went above and beyond for me they went out of their way to make my wife comfortable. absolutely unbelievable. i have undergone several hospital stays with myself and family in several hospitals across the country, never have i ever been so pleased with the care. if any of the staff happen on this blog, my family and i can't say enough. thank you so much!!!

Papa G.. if your so fat, you might contact the hospital about the new Bariatric program they are starting. You might be a good candidate and as been there said, you might not need the surgery after all.
Obviously, you don't understand the dangers of being overweight, going under anesthesia and back surgery. They did you a favor, you should be grateful. They could have put you on the table and you could have died.
Either chill out, go on a diet and lose weight or shut up.. you made yourself fat, not the doctors. A back can only take so much.

Make up your mind whether you want Dr. Sava cutting on you after you have read all the public information available about him.
Neither he, nor his partners, will be working on me or any of my family.

i agree with your statement, i just hate the fact that his name is recognized among the absolutely amazing neurosurgeons that we have. dr.elnaggar and elkalliny are the top of the line and are recognized as such across the country, with them and the staff in their neuro unit are the only 5 star neuro unit in the state of ky. if the stars have fallen, it is because of dr. sava. dr.elk and dr. eln are still and always will be the top of the line and will never been proven any different, please do some research on them before posting you would never allow "his partners," to work on your or your family" if you can find something on them!!! please post it for the whole world to see!!!

There are many decent doctors here. A few bad ones but for the most part they are decent doctors and some have flaws jst like the patients they treat.

El-Kalliny did my back surgery and he did a great job, I don't know anything about Sava other than what I've read, though. Sorry I can't help you out!

The hospital, though? I was supposed to be in the new unit and ended up on the 4th floor and they barely knew I was there.
Oh well, at least I feel much better now.

i am only asking because i am unable to get into dr. elnaggar or elkalliny, i do know for a fact they are the absolute best neurosurgeons within a 800 mile radius, and by the way they are not partners with sava. this is why i asked if he was o.k. to go to
Does it make sense that he has to move from state to state?! He's absolutely terrible. Whoever said he's the best in 800 miles is crazy.

Dr Sava is the worst Dr I've ever EVER seen. It troubles me that he's been sued, has a god complex and doesn't care about you as a person. I'd never ever let him operate on me after how he treated me. There, now the world can see!!!

I really hope Dr Guy Sava is no longer practicing! He did carpal tunnel surgery on my hand when i did not need it. Had to go to a Dr in Lexington had to have a small bone removed from my thumb due to arthritis. When Sava did surgery on my hand he did something to muscle & nerve! I cannot open my hand too wide anymore but after the bone removal I no longer have the pain I went to Sava for!!

wish I didn't have to give one star! this man has a terrible track record and shouldn't be a dr. I went to him years ago and he almost forced me into surgery. here I am years later and with pain management, physical therapy and a GOOD dr., I am much better. please do yourself a favor.....avoid him or if you don't trust me, look at why he's moved from Ohio, to Kentucky, to Minnesota....he has several people irate at what he did to them (I included). he was busted on prescription med ordeal years back as well. at 72 years old, PLEASE stop practicing medicine and retire. I would help us all!!!!!!
