Care to elaborate? Why do you feel so strongly that another life should be lost here? Isn't one death enough already?

In my opinion, this case was blown out of proportion by the media. Not to mention that Z is successfully suing one network for manipulating some of the tapes of that nights incident..

This whole thing has been racial classification. People keep picturing the sterotype saga in this situation. Well, it really does so much sound that way with all the activist involved in this thing. My opinion, which really doesn't matter. At least neither one was white. There's been enough rich, poor sterotyping for years there. It's just the way it is. How do you really expain this to an honest Kid? This was a bad thing.

Why was Martin where he was? He was suspended from school for drugs for the second time. He was concerned about the "cracker" following him. He was not the kid that some of you would like us to believe.

I amazes me at how people are so blind to the truth. Martin was suspended from school for drugs and they found burglary tools in his locker. His facebook page had photo's of him with drugs, money, jewelery, and guns while giving the finger.

He was armed with two fists and a hatred for white people (crackers). He was observed looking into homes and is the reason Zimmerman followed him. Not one time did any police or any officials tell Zimmerman to not follow Martin, they only said, "we don't need you to do that".

Now we have idiots saying that Zimmerman needs to be shot but they don't see the hatred in that. Now we will see the true nature of those who should accept the jury's decision but refuse to be reasonable.

Of course Zimmerman does not need to "be shot". He needs some jail time, though. He acted rashly and aggressively and now a minor is dead. I't really care if Martin was into pot and had broken the law. Do you honestly think he deserved what Zimmerman did to him? Does Zimmerman really deserve to get off scott free?

Here's a story to compare it too that ought to make your blood boil over:

Fla. mom gets 20 years for firing warning shots

(CBS News) JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- A Florida woman who fired warning shots against her allegedly abusive husband has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Marissa Alexander of Jacksonville had said the state's "Stand Your Ground" law should apply to her because she was defending herself against her allegedly abusive husband when she fired warning shots inside her home in August 2010. She told police it was to escape a brutal beating by her husband, against whom she had already taken out a protective order.

CBS Affiliate WETV reports that Circuit Court Judge James Daniel handed down the sentence Friday.

Under Florida's mandatory minimum sentencing requirements Alexander could receive a lesser sentence, even though she has never been in trouble with the law before. Judge Daniel said the law did not allow for extenuating or mitigating circumstances to reduce the sentence below the 20-year minimum.

"I really was crying in there," Marissa's 11-year-old daughter told WETV. "I didn't want to cry in court, but I just really feel hurt. I don't think this should have been happening.""

So Zimmerman follows a guy, kills him, does not go to jail. And this woman fires a warning shot - just a warning shot - and gets 20 years?

There's something badly broken in the justice system in Florida. Get past the racism elements and surely you can see this.

So Zimmerman should have just let Martin continue beating him and telling him that he was going to die tonight? Is that what you are saying?

Had Martin killed Zimmerman, we would have never known who did it because he would have ran away and hid like he was doing when he jumped Zimmerman.

No matter what Zimmerman did or how he did it, it doesn't justify being jumped and beaten to the point that he feared for his life.

Now you want to accuse me of being racist just because I don't agree with your flawed logic. You are typical of the abounding ignorance in this country.

But what do I know, I'm just a "creepy ass white cracker" who would have done the same thing Zimmerman did.

Here is an idea for you to try. Look at "ALL" evidence that was presented in this case and then explain to me how you could have came to a different verdict? How can you justify Zimmerman being beaten just for being stupid and making the mistake of following someone who is suspected (and rightfully so) of being a possible burglar.

Sounds to me like Martin was pissed that he was being watched and I would be willing to bet that he was responsible for the recent break-ins in the gated community but thats just my opinion and there are no facts to back that up.

You all claim that a "child" was "just walking home with his snacks", and that is either being completely dishonest or completely ignorant of the facts presented.

The jury has spoken, its called justice served, accept it and move on.

So you basically think it's OK that Zimmerman killed a guy and got off scott free, but the woman I posted a link about gets 20 years for firing a warning shot?

Where's your outrage over that?

Regarding Zimmerman, he shouldn't have even been there. He did his job by calling in suspicious activity. Everything that happened after that point was his own fault. I totally agree that he had the right to defend himself but everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that the whole fiasco was his fault to begin with.

But apparently you can make mistakes and kill people and that's OK.

One thing is for sure. If you're gonna shoot at people in Florida it helps to be a non-black person and to kill your target.

"HE HAD THE RIGHT TO DEFEND HIMSELF" even if he WAS tailing the kid and the kid attacked him.

reports provide striking evidence that Zimmerman did not start the fight with Martin, and that Zimmerman shot Martin in self-defense. Martinís injuries were two-fold: broken skin on his knuckles and the fatal gunshot wound.
Zimmermanís injuries involved: a fractured nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury.
It takes considerable force to break the skin on multiple knuckles. The large range of injuries on Zimmerman indicates that the Martinís attack was prolonged.....
i cannot condemn Z for what he did. i think many, or most of us, would have done the same.
i see a subtle change in the playing of the RACIST card here. Now it appears that its the whole world against the black man.
i really don't have a dog in this fight, so to speak. i'm sorry it happened, but i haven't allowed myself to get emotionally involved, rather, i wanted to form my own opinions neutrally.
i think the evidence presented justifies the verdict, please refer to my earlier post regarding trusting the judicial system.

*****NOT THIS TIME HE DIDN'T. There are allegations that he DID have or own a gun. Also pictures and texts on his very own cell phone admitting this. His school locker also contained weapons. Please read my following response to your uninformed comment. Zimmerman didn't know this young man and had no idea if he was armed or not prior to this young man hiding in the bushes and then jumping out at him.. THAT is where mistake number one of many others happened in this case.

"a boy who did awesome in school who was not ever into any trouble was profiled by some racist man who when he called the police the dispatcher said do not follow him police r on their way."

*****This young MAN, not a boy, was immediately suspended from school once they found weapons, burglary tool and assorted jewelry that was/has been reportedly some stolen items. This was ALL in his locker and found, causing his suspension.. How you came up with this information that he was akin to an honor student is beyond me...

"trayvon was pretty much put on trial for his own murder this is a sad time in our country this goes to show that racism is still ineffect today. i wish i was in fl right now to riot!"

*****Typcial response of an individual who is more than likely a bit uneducated and has a very racial persona herself. Otherwise why on Gods earth would you wish death on another human being? In this case, Z's death? Why on earth would you wish to be in Florida so you could further any more trouble? I actually wish you WERE in Florida, my dear lady. You would see for yourself how the town of Sanford actually is.. I'd hate to think you could actually live near me, so if you DO have the chance to move, please do so.

"also if u haven't realized this is the same court that allowed a mother who killed her child to walk free children n blacks can not get justice in this country and i know this first hand i was abused as a child but that man walks free amongest us today. where will the war on children end i ask u? "

*****I'll give you that. Casey Anthony should have never seen the light of day again. However, we are speaking here of two different cases and case scenarios. I'm also very sorry you were abused as a child. Perhaps that may be the reason for the tone of racial bias in your comment. I would ask that you might inform yourself of this case a bit more clearly and see for yourself that the MEDIA caused much of this racial profiling and drama. On another note, there is STILL a mother who has lost her 18 month old child due to two young black men who shot her baby IN THE FACE while it was IN IT'S STROLLER!! Where is THAT national news coverage, might I ask?? Two young black men murder a baby in it's stroller, yet nothing is being mentioned? Don't you find that a bit odd? Would you also like to move to THAT state so you could help further the 'cause'???

If Zimmerman were black and Martin white, the verdict would have been completely different. And the same people who are saying that Martin got what he deserved would be be calling for Zimmerman's head. I'm beginning to see why many people of color in this country believe that justice is race dependent.
