Are there any non denominational worship centers here in Somerset? My husband and I are looking for non denominational church or place of worship, after years of search found that the religion specific churches around here are full of infighting, finger pointing and church politics.BTW, that is a real turnoff to those of us looking for a place of spritual worship. Again only non denom.

Victory Christian Fellowship on Oak Hill Road is a good church. It's big and modern. If you're a fan of diversity, Outreach For Jesus on Cotter Ave is bilingual and non denominational.(And they spend way more on mission work than they do on their own building, which is a huge plus in my mind.) Spirit of Truth in Cundiff Square is a good church also, pastor and wife are sincere and not after power or money. If I think of more, I'll post again.

We gave Victory a try a few times , it has the very problems I have posted about and I also feel its size makes their individual relationships with members and new people impossible. Does anyone know anything about the worship center in Bronston? Is it affiliated with any religious organizations? This seems to be in or vacinity. Thank you That's Right for your post ,if you can think of anymore please post.

Also I have met Brother Dustin and his family at Spirit of Truth in Cundiff Square, and they are very good people and as far as I am concerned they put their faith to work and I consider them spiritual warriors for the work they do with the sick and those that have been cast aside. I would like to thank him for that.

Sadly organized religion is full of drama may I suggest try worship at home for the moment or looking in a different city like Monticello been as you live in Bronston.

The only churches that are non denominational are the churches of Christ which are under the control of Christ. And his teachings are their only authority, not the viewpoints or doctrine of men or in other words under the control of men and their teachings. Their guide is the bible only.

If you are looking for entertaimnment that is the place to go. If you want to worship God, which is what a church is for, I suggest you go elsewhere. Those places you mention are set up by men, and do not teach bible doctrine.

Been to some of those also, both here and in Ohio, They are as judgemental and hateful as some of the Baptist churches..You have to have the right kind of baptism, If you have been divorced, a nono. Its all of the same things the rest of organized religion bows too.Thank you for the suggestion but they like so many others are caught up in the religiousity of what should be the spirituality of Gods children. They are in control on the , doctrine.

There's a lot of that in this area. You're not gonna find a church that you totally agree with. Just gotta keep up your prayer life and reading scripture on your own, and when you hear stuff you disagree with, smile and go on. I'm not very good at keeping my mouth shut sometimes, so I'm trying to grow a thick skin.
