This is a move made by "secret selected delegates" by the chairwoman. The White Earth Band Of Chippewa is just one of 6 reservations in the MCT "Minnesota Chippewa Tribe" which has a membership of abt 40,000 members. White earth reservations members are abt 19,797. The convention started out with 42 delegates which reduced to 24. It was passed by 16 in favor and 8 who were not in favor. A very flawed Constitution that does not have any mention of the historic Mississpi Chippewa members who still exist on this reservation which was created by the Mississippi's and the United States in 1867 treaty. They have Ignored to mention the fact that they are without a treaty and base their soverignty on Civil Rights Law. I think it is a vain insult to the existing Mississippi members to have a people who were once homeless and begging the government for land and protection to conpire to take over our homeland on the Mississppi
