It was very dissappointing to see one of our top contenders for 2016 look like a two bit 2nd class statesman on his knees begging for water.

Oh yea your prez is very organized, he's destroying this great nation! You don't care that he loves to spend and bankrupt this country just as long that he fullfills your dream of "immigration reform". You're such a piece of illegal crap!!

The GOP really blew it by choosing Marco Rubio for their response. I think most Hispanics would be offended that he gave the first response in Spanish. That's pandering at its worst. He looked very amateurish and probably hurt his chances of ever becoming a VP or P. Ted Cruz is a much better speaker; about the only non-stutterer the GOP has in their stable. As Solicitor General of TX, he argued 9 cases before the Supreme Court.
When Rubio ducked off the camera so quickly and back on to get a drink, it reminded me of when GWB ducked that shoe that was thrown at him. This was cinematography at its worst.
If the GOP had nominated Ron Paul as their candidate in 2008, we would have had a GOP President since then. The GOP just keeps getting further away from the astuteness of the Great Communicator, Reagan.

Rubio, a Hispanic, speaking in Spanish to a Spanish speaking audience is pandering?! Look out Spanish tv shows, you are pandering!

So whenever a Anglo-Saxon senator speaks in English to Anglo Saxons, that is pandering?

Do yourself a favor, don't give up your day job, politics is not your calling.

Rubio is still better than Ted Cruz who is a tea bagging, carpet bagging, tax cutting, regulation reducing, law enforcing, liberty promoting numbskull. James Russell has made it known that Cruz os to be disdained at every turn.

Gotta hand it to the above posters in this thread. Both sides presented very interesting points of view and made folks like me ponder whether M. Rubio is the real thing "worthy" of Republican accolades, or just another passing fancy. i.e Palin.

Marco Rubio, had a good speech at the convention. When Romney was looking for a VP. I thought Rubio would have been a better pick. But Maybe it is better that he didn't. This way Marco can try a much different approach.
