As much as border control operations have increased, the border still remains entirely unprotected in some areas where the terrain tends to be a natural barrier and in other remote areas. In other areas, such as tribal reservations and national wilderness areas, border control operations are restricted. At the end of Fiscal Year 2010, the Department of Homeland Security reported it had operational control over only 13 percent of the border
As long as el paso rural residents confront trespassing thugs,
It is very clear,
THERE IS NO OPERATIONAL CONTROL.....
THAT Jose, is the answer to your question ,
UNTIL the border is SECURE,
Meaning under OPERATIONAL CONTROL,
As defined by congress,

With the misdirected use of force against the Albuquerque police
The Feds deployed against Nevada cattle ranchers, protecting turtles...
It'd make more sense redeploying these federal marksmen
onto the Tex Mex battle zone!
A least the Feds could protect America!
A Ruby Ridge-style standoff is brewing in Nevada, where dozens of armed federal agents are closing in on cattle rancher Cliven Bundy over claims that Bundy has allowed his cows to graze illegally on government land, endangering a protected species of tortoise.

Aren't we so proud to be Americans right now? We are surrounded by corruption on every level if the Democrats are in charge. Just found out why the murder rate went down in Chicago. The same cop who saved Daley's relative is in charge of reclassifying murder as something other then... Doesn't matter how heinous the murder is if there is the slightest question he calls the murder something else.

Living in the safest city in Texas,
You'd think the evidence would be abounding...
How does this compute?
El Paso County's jail system may be the most expensive in Texas, according to a preliminary study performed by Commissioner Vince Perez's office.
The county spends almost 24 percent of its annual budget — about $71 million — to operate its jail system, Perez said. That compares to an average of $49 million in other counties, including Travis, Dallas, Bexar and Hidalgo.

In a national press conference out national sheriffs all proclaim to be border sheriffs!
ALL have drug thug crime in their regions.
ALL want the border secured.
Except the weak links here in el paso.....
America is watching!
#21 Apr 11, 2014
Stupidass , sheriffs are elected and reflect their commiuntys. they have no say on a national level.

Knowing the sheriff has the authority to kick out federal officials,
The knowledgable sheriff has authority that supersedes a surprising collection of law enforcement...
The key is Knowledgable ...
Outmanned and outgunned, local law enforcement officers are alarmed by the drug and human trafficking, prostitution, kidnapping and money laundering that Mexican drug cartels are conducting in the U.S. far from the border.
U.S. sheriffs say that securing the border is a growing concern to law enforcement agencies throughout the country, not just those near the U.S.-Mexico boundary.
El paso is the wimpy link,
A few folks have maneuvered key positions to the national dismay...

All ya got is a race card?
I just got three trespassers,...
And it's not even dark,
Gonna be a good night.

Rusty Fleming, a spokesman for the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office in Texas, is on the front lines of the border battle and said the U.S. side is losing.
“These cartels are so sophisticated. They’re getting affluent white teenagers to help them encrypt their software; they do digital money-laundering, can hack into government databases and actively recruit our agents to keep one step ahead. The rest of America is just now getting a taste of what we’ve been dealing with for years,”
The local politicians who have tried to neutralize their local law enforcement at a risk to their citizens and America abound in this region.
Y'all only need to look at the el paso corruption convictions!
