Elected in May 2010 and about to be voted out one year later. The people of that city deserve better and their voice is being heard today.

The citizens of Socorro need to get rid of the other Gandara on the Socorro City Council. He has also been a darn outright embarrassment to the city.

People that believe in the judicial system and that don't take matters into their own hands.
People who don't believe that they are above the law itself. Justice will be met in due
time, whether the person is right or wrong and if the 70 % believe they can judge before being found guilty, let it be so, but the 30 % also has every right to act accordingly, as well. That is what we call democracy in this country.

I heard their next move was to have "Willie Jr." run for Congressman Reyes' position. Can you imagine having the thug "Jr." running around the halls of Congress "representing" El Paso at the nation's capitol?? He's just like his dad.

Well, that is why we should leave those matters to the law as you quoted on your comment that the health care company has been found guilty IN MANY OTHER COURTS, which means that anybody that has been accused of any wrong doing will go through due process and the court system. Therefore, justice will be served at some point without us having to play the role of the judge. Let them do their job. Opinion is one thing and judgement is another.

Have you noticed how El Paso and its surrounding communities are resembling Juarez and Mexico in general with all the corruption? Is it just me, or have you noticed how many El Paso Hispanics have been indicted? Why do I see a problem here? Has the Mexican attitude of "under the table" permeated El Paso? Meanwhile, we love our "sister city" Juarez and continue to celebrate the cinco de mayo and all their other events we have no business celebrating. Let us keep El Paso USA and not turn it into Mexico. Mexicanos, regresan a su pais y vuelen su bandera chocosa en Mesico. VIVA LA USA.

I would like to say good luck to Mr. Gandara. Many of the politicians and people of the City of Socorro are like snakes waiting to strike. So be it! But we still have people in the City Council who do not belong nor has the knowledge or education to run the City. As for the ex-mayor Trini Lopez given his position because of favors, has to be the worst crime of all the city council has made.

Little Gandara (city rep) is a child who doesnít belong in office. Paving his home and his friendsí driveways has to be a bigger crime than of Mayor or Ex to be Mayor Gandara. But people have a tendency to point fingers and forget what they themselves have done.

El Paso County has too many politicians who only care about themselves and not the people. We in this El Paso County in general, are an embarrassment to the good of the people. The community as a whole, tents to believe that Mexico controls most of our politicians. And it seems rightly so.

El Paso County in general Speaks more Spanish than English. Go to any restaurant, the proof is in the pudding. Spanish first, English second. While its good to speak two or three languages, we forget that we are Americans first and foremost.

Mr. Gandara may not have been a perfect politician; well we leave it as that. But he knew that majority of Socorro People are unable to afford what this city council has been doing. Spending, Spending, And Spending. With the latest $600,000.00 (1st Phase) to revamp the Fire Station is a waste of public money.

It would have been better just to buy property (not so close to the train tracks that will eventually destroy this building) and build a new building, than to revamp this pitiful site.

Well itís never going to change!

Good luck to all
