Jim was not a good choice for Soap Lake.
They should have gone outside to hire a "good" Police Chief.

I find it interesting you won't put your name on your post.

Jim Dorris was an excellent choice for Police Chief. He has dedicated 10 years to our force. When others left the force to go onto other police or Sheriff agencies with more money, Jim stayed in Soap Lake choosing to raise his family here.

The City Council did put out a civil service bid for others, but Jim was the best choice.
