New school coming

On this 12th day of May 2013 I would like to make a prediction. Mr. Spencer has done what he came for to pad his résumé he will NOT be here to cut the ribbon on this new school. He has got our town even deeper in to debt and he will be on to bigger and better things screwing a new town. Don't believe me just remember Mr. Kampfer. Also when things don't go exactly to plan when traffic is backed up on 10th and 17th, sewer and water problems arise, and the old school buildings are just another eye sore in this town there was plenty of people that told you so!

What I don't like about Spencer, is the way he bashes our past administrator, who still lives here and has local business and deep ties in the school. That is unprofessional. I was not a big fan of some aspects of the past supt but it is not good for Spencer to bash him in speeches and interviews. I don't have an issue with the bond for new buildings.

Oh he will be here to cut the ribbon so he can have his picture taken. But that's the only reason. I'd offer to help him pack but I try to stay away from snakes!

Well I wouldn't say crying but I am disappointed. We will now have a vicious cycle of every 30 or 40 years having to build a new school just about the time we get one paid for we will have to build another. Look at the high school it is 30 to 40 years old and is a piece of $hit. I also don't believe the kids take care of things either some of those kids going to school now days are just about like a coon what they don't tear up they shit on. I have heard several stories about how they had to take down the dividers in the bathroom stalls because they were kicking them in. If they would take care of stuff I wouldn't mind building something but it won't last.

Oh, I didn't realize that things would wear out. I am appalled to know that children disrespect things... I have heard that that kids even talk back to their teachers and even parents. Who would've thought that kids are being this way?

I don't know if you are trying to be a smart ass or you really don't see a problem. If we would bring back the paddle a lot of this disrespect would stop. When I was in school and when my children were growing up we knew if you got in trouble at school you might as well not even come home because you we're gonna get up close and personal with a belt! That may have been a few years back but we didn't have all the destruction and shootings they have today so maybe it isn't a child problem maybe it is a parenting problem but I think a few of these kids could still use a padded room.

I wonder when they are going to start on the new school? It has been two months since the election and not even a word or peep about anything. It is kinda funny you wouldn't even think that the bond passed they are being so quiet about it. Mr. Spencer was on the radio every other day talking about it and now nothing.

Does anyone know when they are going to break ground for the new school? I cannot wait it will be the center piece of this town. I don't know why everybody on here is complaining just pay your taxes and shut up my land lord hasn't even gone up on my rent he said his didn't go up enough to justifyi it! I know all of my kids will enjoy it

Taxed to Death, who did you see at the ribbon cutting? Where is the school after a bond is passed then bond council must sell the bond, only then can plans be made and contracts bid for. Maybe you two should make a school board meeting or two to see how things work.

This doesn't make sense."Where is the school"? School board member?

I will try to use smaller words next time. In the mean time feel free to use the internet for a little education. Those search engines can find more that masturbation fodder.

In case I have missed something they have not cut the ribbon but they have broke ground so I'll if you want to look at it that way then I'll give you that. If I lived anywhere near that school I would be throwing an absolute fit I drove by the other day and it looked like a landfill across the street. I guess if the city runs out of space they can use it they have absolutely ruined that land. It's funny how the school board members and their families threw a fit about housing projects going up near there but are mum about the destruction of the land. I just feel sorry for that family that lives to the east of the pit they will have a hard time selling that one of these days.
