Nothing is impossible with Jehovah.

Our dear brother lived his life to the fullest. He gave a wonderful witness. He had an active outdoors life, was a family man and served as an elder.

He passed away with integrity.

Bless his heart.

Wonder how long before his untimely death did he realize that he had been hoodwinked by false teachers who promised that he would never die?

My sympathies go out to you regarding this bereavement.

I recently lost my sister, who was a Jehovah’s Witness for sixty-six years, and I attended her Kingdom Hall memorial service, so I empathise with your feelings at this time.

It seems a lot of the witnesses who have waited many many years for armaggeddon are passing away. We lost two sisters in the last 2 months. Both had been faithful witnesses for over 45 years.

Exactly. That's why we shouldn't put so much emphasis on "The End." The end is coming for each of us in our lifetime. We must come to know Christ now.
"We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says:'In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.' Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:1,2).

A person could be happy knowing he is greatly loved, and going to be missed after he dies. To be recognized in death as a faithful witness for many years, is a fine obituary. That seems to be the case with many witnesses who have died and are remembered today. The question is, how are you going to be remembered?

Strange that obituary was nothing like the non caring ones put in the papers here for the witnesses . heaven forbid if they ever did anything noteable or enjoyable . or were loved by their families.. No mention to speak of. Just a bland Memorial service at the kingdom Hall. Like now you see them and now you don't.. Nothing. to help with the grief. nor to uplift those they left behind.

Jehovah's witnesses don't need words of praise or
attention of any kind if they are faithful to their God Jehovah. They know for a fact they have been faithful, and have confidence they will be remembered by God, and resurrected by Jesus, that's all that's necessary. A glowing obituary with words of commendation doesn't give any witness that, just makes the family feel better.

Agree I read nothing that makes this person remarkable, blindly following a cult that gives nothing to society is meaningless and sad.

No one know for a fact . nothing . it is faith in Jehovah that he will provide for those that worship him. It just makes the family feel better.???. Hear you .. As if they didn't need to feel better.. They've lost a member of their family. You expect them to not grieve?? To not feel a loss?? Only a robot functions that way... Where is the comfort and the Empathy for their loss.?? Jesus , wept for the loss of his friend Lasurus and (HE), was able to call on his father and bring him back..at that very moment. Yet.. he wept... Yes, Jehovah provides for those who have brains enough to use compassion. and one day he will resurect people.. But for many that day has been beyond their own life span.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
