Ross voted for the original Bush era free money.

Ross's committee was one of three committees in which the healthcare had to be passed in order to come up for a vote in the house. Knowing that committee votes are not as visible as floor votes, Ross voted for the healthcare bill knowing his was the deciding vote in his committee to pass the healthcare bill on to the House.

He then publicly came out in opposition to the bill, while ensuring enough of his "Blue Dogs" would vote for the bill for it to pass. A significant number of these "Blue Dogs", like Marion Berry of NE Arkansas, voted for the healthcare bill and then announced retirement. Remember, this bill only passed the house by 7 votes(219-212) and only 4 votes needed to switch in order to shoot it down. Ross could have used his significant leverage as leader of the Blue Dogs to shoot the bill down, but chose not to.

Ironically, I was in Marion Berry's office a few weeks before the bill came up for vote. he told me straight to me face that he wouldn't be voting for it. Typical politician lies, I hope it catches up with him.

Those of you who have gone to Washington to Mr. Ross's office in the past will have noticed that, while Bush was in office, he had a billboard outside of his office. This billboard kept track of the national debt, with an obvious slight toward Mr. Bush.

When Mr. Obama was elected, this billboard disappeared. Ironically, it only took Mr. Obama a little over a year to spend more money than Mr. Bush ever did in his entire 8 years. Also, I find it funny that Mr. Ross voted for every Bail Out, auto and wall street, and every "stimulus" that has come to the floor.

Have these things helped? nope. Most economists were screaming bloody murder about spending so much money, saying it would do more harm than good. Mr. Ross mirrored Mr. Obama's remarks, saying that government spending would create jobs. Instead, the official unemployment rate is still almost 10% while the REAL unemployment rate is well over 10%.

Mr. Ross, Mrs. Pelosi, Mr. Reed, and Mr. Obama all told us there would be all of these "shovel ready jobs" available. Today, the NYT announced that in an upcomming article in their magazine, Mr. Obama had stated,“there’s no such thing as shovel-ready projects”. link: http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/10/13...

Mr. Ross has been up in Washington for too long. He may have his house in South Arkansas, but his behavior tells me he's from Washington DC. He has lost touch with us. O, and for the record, he isn't a small business owner anymore. USA Drug bought his pharmacies, just around the time he voted the healthcare bill out of his committee. Federal regulators looked the other way.

I'm a firm supporter of extending the Bush tax cuts for a few more years, until we get out of this recession. In fact, if they aren't extended, I will have to lay off most of my employees, Or I may even have to close shop. Things are getting really bad. The last 3 weeks have been the worst I can remember. Talking to some of my competitors, I know they are in a similar situation. We are having to cannibalize our assets, just to pay for overhead. If we don't stay open, we could lose our clients.

If I recall correctly, a motion was made 2 weeks ago to adjourn or continue debate in lieu of a vote on extending the tax cuts. He knew the Republicans had the votes to extend the cuts. His vote was the tying vote in favor of adjourning, which allowed Mrs. Pelosi to step in to cast the deciding vote to adjourn.

I Open the paper this morning to see his ad stating he's in favor of the tax cuts. Then why vote to adjourn Mr. Ross? Why?

On a more ridiculous note, the House adjourned WITHOUT EVEN PASSING A BUDGET. If they can't even do that, then the ones who voted to adjourn deserve to be canned. These are sad times indeed.

You are 100% on this. Ross and Blanche Lincoln both need to be voted out. Things are much worse today than when they started in office. Give an under dog the opportunity to do better.

Ross looks after the whole district -- even his opponents talk about how much he does in the district. Re-elect Mike Ross!

Yeah, Mike Ross is looking after the 4th district alright. That's why he put his district, one with lower than average income, in increasing amount of debt by voting for every stimulus and bail out. I don't really think we've benefited all that much.

As for ear marks he's brought here, I liked his comment about helping us replenish the Sparta in the future with some new projects. FYI: Mr. Ross, the Sparta has been replenishing itself for at least 5 years now.

Also, the entire state of Arkansas, especially he 4th district, vehemently opposed the healthcare bill. I guess that's why he decided to vote FOR the bill with the public option in it while it was in his committee, instead of killing it. O, but he "led the fight" against it and the others on the house floor.

He seems to "lead the fight" on almost everything. I seriously doubt it, as "Leading the fight" takes an enormous amount of time and resources.

Also, He takes credit for four laneing 167 between Junction City and Little Rock. Though some credit is due, I have a question. Why isn't the project being completed from Hampton to Fordyce? Why is progress so slow between Fordyce and Sheridan? North Louisiana has to build on clay, and 167 is four laned almost all the way from Alexandria to Junction City. He acquired some funding for this project, but his office isn't making sure it is seen through.

If you consider him pulling my pants down and shoving the Federal Government's fist up up our a** doing us a favor, Then I guess Mike Ross is doing a lot for the 4th district.

Beth Anne Rankin has my vote because she represents a chance to replace a career politician who does not listen to his constituents and votes the way Pelosi tells him to.

Voted for Obamacare when it could be stopped.
