<![CDATA[PARKVILLE, Md. - Margaret Jane Anderson, 65, formerly of Crisfield, died Monday April 1, 2013, at Gilcrest Hospice Care in Towson, Md. She was the daughter of Robert Anderson and Hilda James. In addition to her parents she is survived by four sons, Everett "Eddie," Corey, Baron Sr., and Timothy Collins; three sisters, Betty Taylor, Peggy Turpin, and Kay Anderson; one brother, Robert " Keith" Anderson; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and other relatives. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 6, at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Crisfield, followed by interment at Hopewell Cemetery. To send condolences visit anthonyeward.com. ALLEN - Julius "Juneboy" Chandler, Jr, 59, son of the late Supt. Elder Julius Chandler, Sr, and Doris Chandler, died on Sunday, March 31, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Althea; one daughter, Susan Chandler; two sons, Depre Maycock, Sr, Keven Chandler, Sr.; one step-son, Daniel R. Appleby; one sister, Paulette Waters; three brothers, Jeffrey Polk, Grady Chandler, Mark Chandler; 11 grandchildren, and other relatives. A service was held Saturday, April 6, at Holy Temple COGIC in Salisbury, followed by interment at Bowland Hill Cemetery, Deal Island Road, Princess Anne. All services were by the Bennie Smith Funeral Home. CRISFIELD - Rachel Marie Collins, 76, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Adele and Albert George Cottman. She was married to the late Ralph Otto Collins. She is survived by seven children, Gloria Ward, Deborah Brown, Anthony M. Collins, James Thomas Collins, Sheri Pollard, Vesta Scotland, and Bess Collins; 21 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one brother, Joshua Cottman; six sisters, Louise, Annie, Naomi, Rose, Jeannie, and Lisa; and a host of other relatives. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 6, at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Marion Station, followed by interment at Mt. Peer UMC Cemetery in Marion Station. Born in Baltimore, he was a son of Lou and Fran Compton of Crisfield. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kristy Tull Compton; brother, Luen Compton III of Wichita Falls, Texas USAF, and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lola Russell and Lou and Clara Compton; aunt, Pat Brant, and uncle, Jeff Compton. Born in Westover, she was the daughter of the late George Beauchamp and the late Ethel White Beauchamp. She is survived by several cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Anna Beauchamp. A graveside funeral service was held on Saturday, April 6, at the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 5757 Coventry Parish Road, Westover, Md. 21871. She was the daughter of Etta Beckett and the late Charles Beckett. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sons, Ernest Jr., Eric and Franklin Leatherbury; five grandchildren; three sisters, Junstina Moore, Viola Bivens, and Bertha Spates; one brother, John Beckett, and other relatives. In addition to her father and husband, Lt. Col. Ernest Leatherbury, Sr., she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles, Jr., and Rev. Noah Beckett and one sister, Martha Cephas. A memorial service was held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 6, followed by burial with his parents in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. WENONA - Mildred Marie Figgs Parkinson, 88, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Born in Salisbury, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. Figgs and Ruth Ann Jones Figgs. She is survived by three children, J. Richard Parkinson of Bridgeville, Sandra Nock of Salisbury, and Robert Parkinson of Wenona; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, George Figgs of Baltimore; sister, Norma Lee Evans of Princess Anne, and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie R. Parkinson, and brother, Bill Figgs. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 3, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Wenona, followed by interment in the church cemetery. PENSACOLA, Fla. - Earl Winfield Pritchett, Jr., 71, formerly of Deal Island, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013. He was the son of the late Earl Winfield Pritchett, Sr., and Amy Jones Pottle. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Shawn W. Pritchett. He is survived by his wife, Patti Pritchett; sons, Darren Brown, Mark Pritchett and Lee Tyree, all of Florida; a sister, Debbie McInturff of Dames Quarter; seven grandchildren, and other relatives. A celebration of his life will be held in Pensacola at a later date. MARION STATION - Lola Marie Sterling, 84, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at Alice Byrd Tawes Nursing Home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Betty Sterling. Her survivors include her caretaker, nephew, George Hickman of Baltimore, and other relatives. Four brothers and one sister preceded her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, April 1, at St. Elizabeth's Church in Westover, followed by interment in Mt. Peer Church Cemetery in Marion.
