I also want to congratulate Dakota, however in times such as these I would be very worried about sending my child to another country with people I....well anyone. Even if the people on the trip were the greatest ever I would worry about him being lost in a place he knew little about and in a culture that was so different than our own. I know we cannot keep our children in a bubble but to let one go that far from home scaries me. I hope all goes well and he enjoys the trip. Please post about his trip when he returns so we know he is safe at home.

Admiration for the parents. The world is to be explored and that exploration will broaden Dakota and give him perspectives other people might not have. WE NEED broader perspectives today. I'm sure the trip is very organized and has been vetted extensively by Dakota's parents. Kudos, and lucky Dakota.---I would ASSUME they aren't going to North Korea or Afghanistan or Iran??? Then I might hold my breath a little,--just a little--but otherwise??? Have SO much fun, Dakota!!

*rolling my eyes skyward* Have you even met his parents??

I do not feel it is appropriate, even in sharing kudos and "atta boys", to have children mentioned on this forum.

Uhhhhhhhhh----"rolling MY eyes even MORE skyward," yes, I HAVE met his parents. And I reiterate what I've said, all the while rolling my eyes skyward, of course.

You dont have to go to North Korea or afghanistan or Iran. Kids and even grown adults are at risk for being kidnapped, rapped, robbed even in this country (there own home). Stop being a smart a$$ to what people write on here. GROW UP
