Considering the fact that her 17 year old daughter has not been in public school since she was 14 years old, has been diagnosed with Celiac Disease and suffers from bloody diarrhea and emaciation, I find that absurd. Her Mother was never a police officer, but only an armed security guard in Pigeon Forge, TN. What I do not understand is how children are able to drop from school at the age of 14 years old and not attend without legal rammifications. You people offer charity to her, build her a house, which she puts in her teenage daughters name to continue to exploit taxpayers...while she sports town in a Land Rover, receiving alms from churches and whoever else shows pity. The Sneedville Church of Christ has the goods on this woman...why doesn't anyone do anything about it?
What kind of town are you? Why was this Pastor "shut up" when he tried to get outside help when his brother was found dead in his vehicle on that mountain?

I think her daughter was "home schooled" even before she was 14. I have a letter from DCS, dated 12.10.07 that says,"Although we understand your concerns, the information that you provided of suspected chid abuse and/or neglect: No allegation of Harm/Imminent Harm." They did nothing. The director of schools office didn't follow up on info provided them either. What more can a person do? Any ideas?

According to sources, she has never been enrolled in Tennessee Public Schools and there is a file on her at Children's Service Council, Palm Beach County, Florida.
Evidently, there is something very strange going on when the local Tennessee authorities won't intervene. According to sources in the Sneedville law enforcement, it was alleged that the daughter was the one that made the 911 call. That in itself, had to be traumatic for a child already living in adverse conditions. Sounds like a cover-up to me.

Someone needs to let the world know that Hancock County has not done their job with this child...and no telling what else!

Of course it does, but Sneedville citizens are afraid and just like the world, they don't want to become "involved". According to sources, the town of Sneedville would be an excellent candidate for the setting of a "Stephen King" novel with tales about ex-sheriffs found hands bound to steering wheels, people speaking out or acting vicariously, disappearing mysteriously. They should have a sign posted "You are now entering the "Twilight Zone". Tennessee has not left the union the last time I checked. What I don't get is how laws do not apply there that apply elsewhere in the USA.
Facts have been presented and Tennessee CPS has ignored and condoned the malnourishment, mistreatment, and deprivation of this child. Someone has to be accountable and the appropriate authorities outside of Tennessee jurisdiction need to be advised of this and should have been advised when the child was 14 years old.
Your tax dollars will be supporting this child the rest of her life...think of that in these times of economic duress, when your own child has needs you struggle to meet.

Hmmmmm. Yes, EXACTLY. Stephen King, Night of the Living Dead, the Zombies. And people definitely DO NOT want to get involved. Too much history. Everybody's related. Everybody knows where everybody else's bodies are buried--literally and figuratively. The child welfare people are BURIED in referrals. Nothing will change.

That is absurd, sounds like Jerry Springer material. So much for "Community", a town like Sneedville cannot thrive. I cannot imagine living in a nightmarish place like that, and especially raising a family. Apparently, those that claim they have tried to get help, are making complaints to the state capital of Tennessee, and they are in referring the case back to Hancock County who "claim" they are buried. That's a load of bull. Child welfare anywhere else smells a rotten fish and they don't stop until they have found it even if they have to "CREATE" it. You don't go tell it to the mountain in Nashville That's a No-No! You don't rob Peter to pay Paul...you go outside the Apostle loop...You go to the Higher Power...Washington DC. You contact your local TV Stations and "ANYONE" that is looking for a story and "LET THEM" do their investigation. God don't you people watch "TV" or do they let you have one in that town?

History? ahem, if you know there has been a crime committed and you do nothing, you are guilty as the perpetrator. You're saying and I quote..."Everybody knows where everybody else's bodies are buried--literally and figuratively."
