I sure hope your screen name is not your real name, if so, you are a disgrace to the Gibson's. Im sure they don't appreciate the vile, idiotic way in which you are spewing filth. I really don't think they are the kind of people who express themselves as you do. I certainly hope not anyway. I think that family has a little more intelligence than you do.

My family are far from being "big shots" here in this county. But we do work and pay our bills and try to bE honest. With saying that I'll have to say that I appreciate Mike Gibson so much, he's a very busy man but every evening he is down on the football field mentoring and coaching around 30 boys. I've heard him talk to them about treating others right and being respectful, I've seen him take the boys who's family doesn't care rather they have food to eat or shoes to wear and feed them and buy them shoes. He maybe rich but I know for a fact he does give to the poor. He really does so much for our young people, he tells these boys that they are just as good as anyone else and they can be successful if they try. And they can do better than what some of their parents are doing. Sure he has flaws, we all do but when someone stands up to do for others we all take notice of them it appears that there is too many others out there that will not do anything to help others are jealous and try to tear down those who do.

I think you maybe missed informed about some of your info.
Does people really expect him to do taxes for free, rent homes for free, pay his drivers without making a profit and then on top of that volunteer all his free time. Wow not asking much of him are they.

volunteer, hey i know for a fact he gets paid for coaching those children, he just does not tell he is employee of frontier health. this topix went away a long time ago, you were the one brought it back up, I usually don't post on here, you ask for it. The truth will stand when the world is on fire. Check with Frontier Health I am sure they can tell you he is an employee, and what his postion is.

He is an employee of Frontier Health as a coordinator for the Intensive Focus program. As part of his job he is to meet weekly for one hour with a group of students thru the school sysytem. He does this on wednesdays or thursdays mornings. He also is responsible for employees in other counties that do the same thing he does at schools in the hawkins and sullivan county area. He also meets weekly with each of them and reports to his office in kingsport. So as far as you saying he is paid thru Frontier to coach football I think is a bit far fetched and I could almost be certain that it isnt in his job desciption. Stop your jealous post and why dont you try to do something for the county and its people? Take a stand get involved that way you want have so much time on your hands to worry about everyone elses business.

You mean he gets paid to have First Priority? Where the kids meet and pray before school? Surely you are kidding. That is the only time I know he meets with kids one hour at school once a week. Interesting. I did not know that.

No, he meets with different classes in the 8th grade once a week for one hour. If you need to see for yourself go up there and you will find him there. People act like this is all something new but he has worked doing the same thing basically for well over 20 yrs. Btw first priority usually last 15 mins , go by one morning and see for yourself.

It don't make no difference if he does get paid for First Priority. I just did not know it if he did. I did not mean anything by it. Didn't know about the 8th grade thing either and just wondered.

I really appreciate all the attention and I hope all this may encourage some of you to get involved with the community and the youth of our community. We have many wonderful people who give of their time and money all over this county. What we need is more people to join them. I love First Priority program. I have been working with our kids and schools for the past 15 years meeting at least 2 times per week. I have never been paid nor has Mrs. Diane who has been my faithful helper for nearly 10 years. I am a member of the tri state First Priority Board and we do have two full time missionaries that supervise 52 different schools. Please pray for this ministry.

Done some research, his job title is student student assistant specialist. Definition of this program is to work cloesly with the school teachers and staff to identfy at risk chidren, which can include crisis intervention and referral to appropriate resources. Should be a good resource for the children that need help.
