"Mr. Scott, who is a member of both the Blue Dog Democrats and the Congressional Black Caucus, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Monday that he was concerned that the debate over health care reform was becoming racially tinged. Some opponents of health care reform, he said,“are bringing [in] race — and ‘Negro’ and ‘colored’ and Obama” when contacting his office."
Why am I not surprized when citizens read the health care bill and understand that it expects us to trust the government to know what's best for the most intimate, most personal part of our and our families lives, our healthcare; that if we oppose it we are racist.
Does he really believe that the people showing up at the town hall meetings are mad because he and Obama are black, could it not be because they don't want this health care bill shoved down their throat.
When he showed the news a sampeling of e-mails he received which mentioned the n-word or other racial references why did he have to do that. Why coul'nt he show them one of my letters or e mails which address the issue. I tell you why, if he put one of my letters or a random letter about health care front of the news he could not play the race card. This is discusting. What democratic leaders have called an angry mob, astor turf, ect. I call constiuents.
He complained about his town hall meeting being hijacked, it does not surprize me at all. People are upset and rightfully so, he is hiding from his constiutents. When I asked about a town hall meeting his staff told me there was one but that the topic would be restricted to a construction project about highway 92. Just who in the he11 do these people think they work for. I am sorry I missed the meeting which got "hijacked" wish I could have seen that.
Maybe Representative Scott should have a health care town hall meeting.

Regardless of the subject, it always comes down to a race issue when someone is black and they disagree. It's their universal excuse. Just the fact, nothing personal... The swastika is probably just some kids playing around... Too bad that we live in a world now that everything is taken so seriously. Twenty years ago it wouldn't have been a big deal. If you were alive back then you know I speak the truth.

David Scott has angered his own constituency by refusing to discuss health care and because of his hard headedness on a local road issue in Douglasville that will displace a lot of people and split the community in half. This swastika BS is a way for Scott to dodge both issues.

Teh guy might have done it himself or had someone to do to get attention or distract the public from the issue they wanted to talk about. The Health Care Bill being rammed down our throats by an adminstration that has decided to do what it wants too.
I don`t trust anbody associated with this White House. Period.

I think I will give his office a call and ask when the healthcare meeting is since he said the one which caused the uproar was about highway 92.

Well that was clear as mud, I called and asked when the health care town hall meeting was going to be since I am a registered voter in his district. They told me that there would be a health fair on the 15th. I asked is that a town hall type meeting where we could ask questions and he said it is a health fair. I got a feeling he is going to be hiding from his constituents again.
