Comments: Here's an update on the principal from **** Angela Rogers/Ramsey has had quite an interesting background with public schools. Right now as I speak there is a petition circulating around Talihina to remove her from her current job as Talihina Elementary Principal. People are fed up with her and tired of her harrassing children. Her most recent good deed as she likes to call them, because she likes to teach kids valuable lessons was when two first and second grade boys were walking to school and one of them picked up a newspaper out of a man's yard. The man called Ms Rogers and she in turn called the Talihina Police Dept and asked them to pick up the boys and have mug shots made and fingerprints taken. The police catered to Ms Rogers. I wonder what kind of power she has and can get away with the kind of things that she does? She was trying to teach the kids a lesson....a lesson that the parents of the children should have taught. Well, it's about time that this principal be relieved of her current title of Elementary Principal and hopefully to never work in a school or around children again.

Her past tells us plenty about the kind of person she is. Wow and what a past it is!! The Talihina School Board Meeting is Monday night and it will be packed and should be very very interesting.

The mother is on the agenda to speak at the board meeting. She is out to remove the principal from this school and to get her teaching certificate that she has no business holding. She is also has her sights in for the Talihina PD.

Watch the Poteau Daily News and Sun for a story in the next few days.

The mother is on the agenda to speak at the school bd meeting Monday night. She is trying to get her fired and to have the chief of police be held accountable also.

Watch for the Poteau Daily News & Sun for two different articles about this .....one about the two boys going to the police dpt and another one about Ms Rogers.
She has made the front page of many papers in the past because of her teaching skills....one important one being "let go" from Howe schools for trying to teach some kids a lesson about how slave ships were years ago. It is UNBELIEVABLE what she did....and she also took some special ed kids to a Ozzy concert that got her into trouble.

She had a 7 and 8 year old arrested?

She needs to be fired and so does the cop who arrested them.

I think they read Hillary's book and took it to heart and put it in practice.

Don't pay any attention to msbobbi's quote of insulting Hillary..Mason...

She can't make a post without an insult someway against the Democrats and YOU tell me where her post there even begins to fit in politically???

Now back to the subject I hope and pray this matter can be settled in a way that the children are NOT hurt...
If this is the same teacher that did the nasty work at the Howe school on those kids several years ago and I heard it was I certainly would agree that something NEEDS to stop her applying examples instead of TEACHING Principles and education in the manner she is choosing...

Something is wrong and I admire that parent who will FIGHT the system for what she believes in...

Ms. Angela Weaver is the currently working at Indianola Publilc Schools. Many concerned parents in this community are eager to learn more about what happened in Talihina.

My son who was 7 at the time, flashed a kid on a dare. Not the proudest moment, but it happened. Ms. Rogers-Weaver called the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She claimed if he had done such a thing (she called it exposing himself), that he must have been molested. The state pulled our kids out of class and interviewed them, without us knowing. Then they came to our house and talked to me. They returned the next day to speak to my husband, who hadn't been home at the time. The case was dropped that day. The workers stated the woman who carries the title of principal completely blew things out of proportion. It may have been dropped, but that file is there FOREVER with my name on it. My kids were scared, I was so angry, and we felt very violated.
If she's working at your school, then you should be concerned.

And before the comments even start about how she was only doing her job. Or she was only concerned for the child. That's bunk! She used her power to stir crap all the time. Just ask around.

What is wrong with this world?
So far I haven't seen any reason why everyone wanted this person fired from her job. She obviously did it well.
2 kids stole a newspaper...she called the police as any good citizen should and let the police handle it. Yes they were young, but I guess you'd rather they be caught stealing as adults and go to jail.
A child exposed himself in public. This is one of the signs of molestation. It's not always the case, but it definitely needs to be looked into...AND IT WAS! Well done to her.
Try teaching your children values at home instead of complaining when someone else has to do it for your lazy selves.
I don't know this woman...but your complaints are moot here. It seems fitting that she's moved on and up from you idiots.
Get a clue...Get a life...and most importantly...get your kids to learn some values.

I've worked in education for 26 years and what she did was way overkill. There was no reason for her to go to the extremes that she did. It is appalling. She needs to take a course in management skills. It's people like her who make mountains out of mole hills who are forcing our youth to rebel.

Show me one instance where she made a mountain out of a molehill. It's people like you who ALLOW the youth to rebel, while you cry about their self-esteems. Try discipline, instead of sending 18 year old babies out into the work world. Their self-esteem has to be hurt sometime, or they'll be unprepared for life.

I do not want to start an arguement at all, but my son did get in trouble. And to make it clear, my son did not run around showing himself day in and day out. He was dared to flash, after another kid had already done it. He did it ONE time. Had the other boy not done it, he wouldn't have even known what flashed meant. He wasn't rebelling. He was simply dared. He was in the boy's bathroom, not in a classroom. He was seven. Someone said (exposing) which was really flashing was a sign of molestation. Maybe so, if a child does it alot and with no reason. I have never connected "mooning" with molestation. Surely anyone with any sense could see this was a few boys being silly boys in the bathroom,(simply a mole hill). The superintendent of the school was very embarrassing by it all and even said the principal completely overreacted with her actions of calling DHS,(the mountain). All the teachers I talked to agreed. I also had worked in the same school system, so I was well known by everyone, but the new principal. And if the principal was such a good school leader, then I wonder why she's been bounced from one school to another causing so much trouble that it literally made the news. She'd be much better suited running a dozer, because she does make mountains out of mole hills.

Maybe she's being bounced around schools because she's being promoted. Didn't someone say she is now superintendent somewhere now?

A child exposing themselves in public is a sign of abuse. It doesn't matter if they only did it once.

DHS is supposed to look into things like that. They did, found nothing, then left you alone. Don't make a mountain out of a mole hill:)
