Teen driver charged in fatal Smithtown crash

A Riverhead teen is under arrest, charged with driving while intoxicated, following a one-car crash just after midnight Thursday that left his 19-year-old passenger dead, police said.

I ran into a friend of Scott Lamm's and I was told that the group of teengers went out parting the very next night and I was told "He would of wanted it that way" I have never heard such a staement in my life I also heard that the mother of the victam was burying him with a BONG what is that about

ALSO the kid was a drug dealer, however it does not mean that he should of had died I feel bad but I can't get over what I was told first hand.

All young adults make poor judements at times. Some are in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have 2 beautiful daugters ages 26 & 28. I still pray for their safety. I lost my brother 28 years ago from a motorcycle accident. It's not easy. May God give both Scott & Devan's families strength to move on in their lives. Sending many prayers.

Where are the parents when all this is going on? If a parent knows their child is involved with drugs or drinking they should be held accountable. I mean, I know some parents dont know how to deal or are in denile but getting a child help seems to be the lesser of two evils.
