Smithtown prom requires drug talk for parents

Dr. Stephen Dewey lectures parents on the harmful effects of drugs Wednesday night at Smithtown West High School.

This is horrible.

I understand that Smithtown has a significant Heroin and other Drug problems, but really; when did these overpaid civil servant gain the right to order parents around.

This is just one more example of why we must generally reign in all of these government entities.

Ballots or Bullets Folks. Pick one. Personally I don't see that ballots do much good any longer.

When are you people going to realize that the War on Drugs is the real problem. Go look at the netherlands and see what they are doing right.

FYI, there are no salaried positions on the Board of Education, these people volunteer to be your servant, civil or not.

and by the way, no matter what your opinions on this is, doesn't matter, drugs are a big problem, they always have been, and they will continue to be, but we should try our hardest to prevent this issue.

p.s.- The mommy taking xanax to cope with her problems is just as bad as the child shooting heroin.
