Yes thank God the baby is ok but don't judge a woman and call her a monster if you don't know her. At least this woman admitted her mistakes and wanted to do what was right to make up for them. You can't say that about many people in this country. My question is if the other mother knew there was an occurance prior why would she put the baby in her care again? Sounds a little fishy.

No one knew until the baby was at the hospital getting all the test done. The drs discovered old bleeds. In my eyes you dont have to know the person. Just because she admitted to doing it makes it ok to shake and throw that baby? Yes, she is a monster. If you didnt know this also.......she tried to blame it on another child. I know the facts.

My point is murderers who won't admit they did wrong get less time. For a first offense with no permanent damage I can see some time and therapy. I never said what she did was right but don't judge lest you be judged yourself first.

funny, what if that was your daughter that was shaken and thrown? I dont think im the one that needs to be judged. God will take care of her, just as god took care of lilly. Yes sherae needs help and therapy but just because she admitted to it she should not have gotten less time. She got the max for what she was charged with. In my eyes she should have been charged with attempted murder. You dont have a clue about most of this.

If it were my child I would hope that two families can be healed. No were in any reports show the baby was thrown. We have a case of a hormonal pregnant woman losing her temper because she was babysitting too many children. My condolences to both families. That of Lilly and yes, thankfully she is ok or I would have no trouble citing your opinion on going for attempted murder. A better outcome would be not to see another family torn apart. I, unlike some, value the life and upbringing of every child and have followed this from the beginning with reports. You obviously have a biased connection personally with the child who was hurt, so I can see why you should and would be upset. I am only thinking about 5 other children who will not be together now and will be without their mother for four years. One child has already been saved but a family has also been broken and may never be put together again. I feel empathy on both sides of this battle. While I feel justice was done I also feel sorry for the other children that are now growing up without a mother.

I feel so sorry for the other children. They will be without their mother for 4 yrs, but they are young and children do forget things. Yes, unlike my daughter who got that call from sherae about lilly. Lilly was unresponsive and lifeless. Thank god she was a paramedic, and thank god she had a good partner. Like i said, you dont know all the facts about this case.

See. What I thought. As the grandmother you are biased on the situation. You got what you wanted but want to continue to drag the woman through mud after it's said and done. You don't care about the other family so therefore there is no reason to keep this discussion going. Wish you and your family luck during your crisis as I do the other family involved. Peace be with you my friend. Hope you find the release of what you are looking for in these forums.

she just got denied for parole. i dont think 6 months in jail is long enough for what she did and it looks like the parole board agrees.

You have no right to say anything about anyone until you are in that situation. Do you expect a 2mon old baby to TELL you whats going on at the daycare??? How would you even know of a prior occurrence? Do you honestly think that if the mother knew what was going on, she would've kept taking the child there? Get you facts strait before your judge and say things sound "fishy".

Unfortunately ms sherae reich will get out next yr. sad that she only has to serve 18 months of a 4 yr sentence. The mother had no idea her baby was being abused. She had only watched her about 3 times thank god! This little girl would not be alive today if her mother and her partner were not paramedics. God is good. Pray for ms reich kids, all 5 of them. You never know what goes on behind closed doors.

Mrs. Reich IS a very good person to own up to her mistakes. We ALL make mistakes but very few of us own up to them. I have seen her with her kids and she has Never been abrasive towards her own children in any way. She was denied parole because the child's family was there to protest Mrs. Reich going home to be a wife to her supportive husband and a mother to her children. Haven't both families suffered enough. We're supposed to let God fight our battles but everyone doesn't know how to and chooses not to turn the other cheek nor pray for our enemies. Lilly was completely healed except for having to wear glasses so why continue to want Sherae to suffer for something that she is completely sorry for doing and to be away from her own children. It's not done that she is away from them because they are young which was an idiotic statement because the younger years are when a child bonds with their parents.

She almost killed a child and she should get out to take care of her kids and be with her husband? What about lilly and her parents suffering for what she did? This child was almost dead, on a vent because of sherae. What about the after effects for lilly? What about all the medical bills? 18 months in jail and shes done? Forgiven?

I'm sorry, but were you there? On the ambulance? Helping her breathe? Standing beside her crib while she was on a vent praying to God to take you instead? Having the doctors show you a BRAIN BLEED on the ct-scan and have them tell you they aren't sure if she will make it through the night??? Were you there? Is that what you call a "good person". Does a good person shake and nearly KILL a child? I'm sorry but just because she doesn't hurt her own children doesn't mean she didn't hurt this baby. A "good person" calls the mother first if she can't handle the child so these things don't happen. Obviously she took the violent way out and nearly killed this little girl. No sympathy for her. Or her family. If they want to stand beside a woman that shakes babies and is "sorry" they are just as sorry as she is.
