Well Lizzie First off you need to stop looking at BS.
Asians do not just Eat any Pet.
Chickens pigs cows etc yes. Just like the rest of us.

Have you heard in some countries people eat Monkey Brains?

And yes in some area's people will eat cat dog rat. Especially under certain circumstances.

Most things you see online is a joke. You need to Learn & Grow Up.

People like you is what causes our society to go down.

Study your stuff before posting Crap like this

Lizzie,
Comments like the one you started this thread with are just an attempt to start trouble, and generate meaningless comments like the one Parnia wrote. There is far too much sensationalism in the media today, and these kind of comments do nothing to improve the quality of what is available for people to read.

I urge you to think out your postings more carefully, and not believe everything you read, especially in this day and age when Photoshop is so readily available to create controversial postings.

Lizzie,
What can you possibly hope to gain by bringing up this nonsense over and over again? Why are you trying to hurt others? Or are you trying to make yourself feel superior in some perverse way?

Maybe you need to find someone professional who will hear your stories and offer you some help. I can't imagine any way that you will find any satisfaction continuing this thread.

Different cultures, in different places in the world, eat different things. Have any of you seen the TV show "Bizarre Foods" with Andrew Zimmern? Some of the things he sees cooked, and that he eats, are so far removed from what we, as a Western Civilization consume, yet it's just par for the course in these countries.
Can you imagine someone from India, watching us eat a steak? To a religion there, cows are sacred, to be glorified, not eaten.
Sure, if Muffy or Fido or someones pet was stolen and eaten, I'd be aghast, as well. But in a way, how is that different that a 4-H kid, that raises a pig or a cow or a sheep, then sells it to someone who is going to make steaks and mutton chops and Bacon out of that animal?

I agree with what you said, Nobody, that other cultures do indeed perceive animals differently than we do; and as such, I have nothing against it. It is simply their way. But don't you think that to bring it up in a seemingly hurtful posture is just an attempt to "stir the pot"?

"...but i saw true pics of nasty asians skinning a dog alive."

This is a quote from above. Is there anything about this sentence that is positive? There is a posting from Hmong Guy just before it, and he is obviously upset. I feel like Lizzie's postings are aimed to hurt Asians here, more than to bring attention to the plight of animals in other countries. JMHO

Whoa, "friend" I wasn't attempting to "stir the pot" or be hurtful, in any way shape manner or form...I'm not the one who talks about "nasty pics of asians" etc...
I don't see how what I posted could be misconstrued as hurtful. I simply said that other cultures, view things differently, and they eat things that most Americans wouldn't.
I'm just trying to point out that while we go to Mickey D's, or Safeway or Shop Smart, and buy beef, chicken, poultry, fish, and pork, there are folks from different countries and cultures that would find what we consume to be terrible, and again, to some, flat against their Faith.
It's diff'rent strokes, for diff'rent folks, okay? That's ALL I was trying to say.
Sorry if I offended anyone.

NObody, please read the post above yours. No one was pointing a finger at you! In fact, I agreed with you! Peace be with you, friend.

The remark was made towards someone else who posted, and it would seem that she is also thinking twice about what she said...

So, Lizzie, lets be friends, 2, K? I think everyone can get carried away, but if we are going to make a difference in the world, we have to try and make it a positive difference.:)

Merry Christmas everyone.
