It takes years to get there if you are Toyota, not a temp. When a temp gets hired as Toyota, they have to go to night shift.

Which is a bunch of BS, cuz my hubby has worked up there for 9 years & has worked nights the WHOLE time. Temps need to go to nights, not days!

I agree with this. They say they need an equal distribution of Toyota and temps. I too am Toyota and will probably never see days. It's hard to have a life and see your family on nights, as I'm sure you know.

Don't ask for info on this site and expect it to be accurate. As you see in only 4 comments you got two dif answers. Now with that said, if anyone knows the true answere to this question then go for it.

Does Aerotek administer hair samples for drug testing before placing people at Toyota, or is it the standard urinalysis?

I work there for Aerotek. Being a temp you can go to days cause I'm on days. But once Toyota hires you themselves you go to nights. I may have missed it but I didn't see 2 different answers. It gets kind of confusing trying to explain cause Aerotek works at Toyota and we do the same thing as Toyota employees we just have different wages and benefits. Aerotek is a temp to hire. So when "itsme" said when toyota hires you he/she meant when an aerotek employee no longer works for aerotek at toyota but actually works for toyota. I even told a Toyota employee today that I don't think it's fair that I'm one days when others have been there years. But I can help where they decided to put me.
And to "wondering" when I had my physical they took urine, hair, and blood.

It's not air conditioned but almost seems like it. Feel a lot better in there then outside. The other factories I've worked at has been miserably hot inside, but not in Toyota.

Do they hire anyone for part-time or is it all full time and Monday thru Friday?

Aerotek hires part time too. They are about to hire 400 onto toyota over the next several mos so they will be hiring 400 for aerotek too. Aerotek is the only way to get hired on at Toyota. It's rare but some aerotek employees get on days <days pays less>. They do a physical, hair sample, urine, blood...and if your hair sample is more than 6mos old by the time they call u they redo it
