How does a parent find their way out of a burning house and not know where their kids are??Before I could listen to the screams of death from my kids burning I would have went down with them before leaving them ..That is pretty low down,,ah-h just go make some more kids ,,right

This is awful, I work at a local gas station and they came in to put a donation cup in our store and they did not even cry when talking about it. I know if this just happened to my children I would not be out in the public so soon and if I was talking to someone about what happened I would of been in tears..

Sad sad day in McMinnville the last few weeks 4 babies have died this month..

Unfortunately, the parents were not in the apartment at the time the fire started. They reportedly were in another apartment in the complex. The Southern Standard had a story on it in today's paper.(5-15-09)

why are the parents, who were supposed to be caring for these little ones, not in jail? no matter what the excuse, it is never okay to leave babies in a house alone, not even for a minute. They are responsible for these girls deaths as surely is if they lit the fire themselves. when you kill someone is that not murder and are you not arrested?

Why would parents be visiting in another apartment at 3:30 AM, and leave babies alone?

While you're at it, Bucko....why don't you tell the moderators why you proceed to go to other forums and badmouth me? And why you're encouraging other posters not to reply to me. And you also need to tell them why you don't contribute anything of intelligence to the topic.

Let me know what they tell you. lol lol lol lol

I've read other message boards (Nashville news stations) about this story. There is a great deal of mudslinging and accusation, and I don't want to be guilty of that. However, the people on those boards say they know the father and step-mother, and they have some strong opinions on why they may have not been at home.

I have heard that the parents were cooking Meth that is why there was a hot plate that was left on..

I hope both parent spend a long time in jail were they both belong.. it is being said that they gave the kids some medicine to make them sleep and there was no smoke in their little lungs so that would tell me that they were died from an overdose of the medicine that they gave them to sleep..

rest in Peace little ones...

From previous comments that were pulled, I remember something being said about the father and stepmother always sedating these two babies while they went out visiting neighbors. This is what supposedly happened when the children died.

I can't fathom how any parent could possibly do this to a child let alone two helpless little babies. But to sedate them? That is just so terribly wrong. I would have died before I allowed my children to die in a fire like this.

This father and stepmother need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They need to be put in a room full of smoke so strong that it burns their eyes and lungs. Give them a dose of their own medicine. And the stepmother is suppose to be pregnant. Her parental rights need to be severed from this child before they allow that child to die also like these two did.

Posts like these are one of the many reasons I thank God every day that I am moving. No offense, McMinnville people but, Jesus...almost every post on this forum is about a child being hurt or dying or abused. God help them, please.

I've only been to McMinnville once in my life and can't say much about it. But now I really wonder about it since there is just so much about crime and children dying there lately. And from what other people that have lived there have said......all negative comments about it. I can understand why it's referred to as McMethville sometimes.

"children dying there lately"

What are you talking about? You obviously have selective reading....I don't bash McMinnville but from what I've read about it from people that were raised there and moved......it leaves no doubt in my mind that it's definitely not a place I EVER wish to live in.

And from the posts that were pulled from this forum because of the trashy comments from families involved in the death of these children.....well, now we know what kind of people that live in McMinnville as well. And your comment didn't reflect well on your town either.

As for Barbara Nunley.....I'm entitled to say whatever the he-ll I want to say about her. It's called my American right to an opinion.

As for your God taking "whoever He wants when He wants them its not our say so"....please tell someone that believes in your god. And this is the kind of God you worship???? You're a disgrace to your beliefs, Queen Bonkers!!! Now tell someone that gives a rat's arse!!!!

This forum was pulled a few weeks ago because all of the different family members decided to fight with each other and air their dirty laundry as well. It was better than anything they could put on the Jerry Springer Show. But that's where it belonged.....not on this forum. They seemed to forget this forum was about the two precious babies dying.

I don't think everyone that lives in McMinnville has a problem but from the sounds of it on this public forum.....I'd have to say that a good majority of the people do. Wait and you'll see for yourself from the different comments being made from residents of McMinnville what I'm talking about. There have already been a few that have posted ignorant comments. lmao!!!

Daily Horoscope for January 1

Sagittarius

Happy New Year, Saggitarius! Despite the headache, your motivation level is high today, setting a trend for the rest of the year. You'll be surrounded by relatives and friends all year and will work passionately to help them, as you do. Things go smoothly today, and you're absorbed with the duties of new year. Be careful that you don't neglect your own health, though. You can't help others if you're run down.
