Just went and tried the new restaurant since it is near to where I live. The meal my family ordered was good, but the salsa is lacking. The salsa has good bones but needs work to make it great, maybe add some more salt, garlic fresh and powder, cumin, lime juice and some more jalapeno and cilantro to make it better. Just needs some tweaking. Now the white cheese dip in my opinion was not edible at all. The cheese dip left a weird gritty texture in your mouth. It diffidently needs A LOT of work. Like I said the meal we all order, there was 3 of us was good, beans and rice a little bland and didn't seem homemade, but the meal I ordered wasn't for the beans and rice it was for the main dish. Our waitress also did not ask was our meal which I believe is key to any restaurant no matter how new or old or how successful or failing you are customer reviews are key to success to fix things that they feel are not working so the restaurant can survive. I think if they worked on the salsa and absolutely the cheese dip and be sure to ask how everything was then i think they have a chance of making it in a town that has a lot of restaurants to choose from.
Good Luck!! and I hope you take this as constructive criticism not being rude here.

My husband and I tried Salsa Loca for the first time last night. We totally enjoyed our whole experience. 1st of all the atmosphere is cozy and cute, I like that! I tried one of their specialty margaritas, pineapple cilantro, best margarita ever and they put a piece of tequila soaked pineapple on top:) the salsa was good, we added just a little salt but, I rather that than be too salty. The black bean hummus was good, served cold and tasted just like traditional hummus. The chicken empanadas were delicious with their sweet BBQ sauce, loved them. My hubby had crawfish quesadillas and I had the Loco Salad which is like a taco salad in a shell without meat. We enjoyed our entrees and left stuffed for a very reasonable price. We will be back again. Hope to sit outside on their beautiful deck next time. The service was good too. Was very happy to see A LOT of business, ppl seem to be enjoying this new place in Slidell, I know we did:).

My wife and I tried Salsa Loca for the first time tonight and we were delighted. Margaritas were very good and potent. Nacho appetizer was quite good and the steak fajitas were excellent. Most notable was the great service. Nicki, our server did an outstanding job, attending to our every request with very personal and friendly presentation. We will definitely return.
