It is Time
I have stood by, watched, and listened to all the stories and opinions and I have kept quiet. The reason I did this was that everyone has the right to free speech (I said to myself many times.) Well now, it is time I spoke up. Not for myself but, for every true American. Most people with s sense of responsibility work for a living and therefore are not home most of the time to watch the television or have enough strength ( after a day’s work ) to read the news paper or delve into the internet to find out whets going on around them. Most weekends are spent trying to keep the family car running or making repairs around the house. I have questions, questions that the news media people do not ask. For one, why do we (as Americans) feel that we have to save the world? Are we so strong that we can afford to put this Burdon on the American people? Can we continue to do this when we have hungry and pore people in our own country that cannot get help? How much more of a Burdon can the middle class in this country handle? Our tax dollars are spent on bribing half the world not to cause any problems. I believe we are calling it foreign aid. How about domestic aid? Our political leaders because of private interests have robbed social security. There are different ways to rob people than with a gun. The Government is robbing people every day. What about illegal aliens that do not pay taxes. All some people do is put a strain on every benefit program legislators can dream up. This is a free country and whoever works, Pays Taxes and obeys the laws should have the right to be here. I once thought that this was the best country in the world and laws were created for all the people that live here. I am beginning to doubt this now. Foreign countries now have so much Money that they are buying up America. Our own language is being replaced. I for one am tired of pushing one (On the Phone) for English. I am also tired of hearing about the national deficit. I cannot write checks for money I do not have in the bank. I would go to jail but the government can write all the checks it wants to. Why is it that it is better to go on welfare than it is to work? With all the free give-a ways it promotes NOT working. Why does a person in prison have the right to sue people, to tie up the justice system or have air conditioning? Freedom is not cheap but those who decide to commit crimes and are sentenced to jail have decided to give up those freedoms. Are there no consequences for knowingly breaking the law? If everyone over the age of fifty committed murder and was sentenced to prison he could actually say he was retired. Why? Because he would get three meals a day, be able to watch T.V. in air conditioned comfort and have free medical care and whatever basic needs he had would be provided for. The cost is free of charge. I hope that (to some of you) this makes sense. |

you pretty much summed it up, and I agree with you , we need change alright, but I have yet to see where the middle class working people are getting any change for the better
